indicates that the tub support air dampeners are failed allowing the tub not to be level
normally there is a small amount of water in the tub as the spin starts to allow the cloths to move around for balance but when the air dampeners break there is no initial control for the balance so the tub gets all out of wack
If its leaking during the fill cycle, its one of the water valves (solenoids) or associated hoses, loose clamps, etc. If its leaking during draining its the drain hoses, pump, clamps etc. Easiest way to tell. Pull it out, if you can remove the back, run it and look for the leak. Just don't touch anything while its running, you don't want to lose a finger or get electrocuted.
The back and sides are one piece. The front comes off (two clips under top, one on each side about 2 or 3" in from outside - two screws on bottom directly below clips). The top will lift up on the rear hinges, the front lifts about 0.5" and comes off.
