My SOny Projection HDTV makes buzzing noise when turned on

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. It the colors wheel,the fan don't make that much loud of a noise.When the colors wheel spins off it axis it make very loud squizzing and buzzing noises.

buzzing noise is cause by small electrical arc inside the unit or a problem in your audio circuit.if you can open the unit up and check if its an electrical arc.

Make sure you have the lamp seated correctly
If you used a non sony lamp it may not be compatible

remove the lamp and look to see how the two connectors line up
they are the most important

It sounds like a bad lamp. Replae the lamp firts, but there is a chance you have a bad lamp driver also.

You have a bad lamp. Thats it. The buzzing noise is the ballast firing trying to re- start the lamp.

To Fix.. The Buzz.. The noise comming from one of the Board Inside. Open it and see..Or call a tech..
