Have you tried and see if the led is flashing wile looking through a camera on a mobile phone ? this will tell if the remote is faulty.

if its not flashing then open up remote and look for bad joints/connections etc.

the most common is around the led sender and the xtal unit.

I have an LG model 37lc2d the screen is black but has illumination and no sound at all and the green power light flashes 16 times upon powering up?

Things to check: Make sure your TV is set to the correct input.
I DK about the light flashing 16 times but that could be a stuck key on your remote control. If you can, urn off your remote and try turning on by hand and going through the "INPUT" choices to make sure you have it on the correct setting. BTW, if your TV is 5 years old, you'll make the money back in no tie if you get a new "Energy Star" TV. The new Energy Star TVs run on very little electricity compared to 5 years ago.

"I have LG 37LC2D TV,when I turn the power on remote controlled or manually it immediately powers off. Is this an issue with the on/off switch inside the tv and how can remedy the problem?"

I have an LG as well.
My troublshooing says:
"Check the power control setting. The power supply may be interupted.
Check if the Auto sleep feature is actiated in the Time settings.
Refer to the " Sleep timer".
If there is no signal while the TV is on, the TV will turn off automatically after 15 miutes or so"

Lg lcd tv 37lc2d no headphones socket - how do i connect headphones?

You can purchase a cable to connect to the Audio Out ports on the back of the TV. It will have 2 RCA connectors on one side that plugs into the TV and a 1/4" stereo jack on the other end that you will connect your headphones to. You could even pickup a pair of wireless headphones... they will have a volume control on them! I hope this helps.

NEED CODE FOR REMOTE CONTROL TO WORK WITH TV

If this is an original remote u should not need a code. You need to find out if the remote is transmitting a signal. If it is a universal remote use your manual to find correct code, use code search or go on internet & look up code.

Remote control no response

Have you tested the remote? Get a cheap IR reader card, Radio Shack used to have them, and test the remote. If it's working test or replace the IR detector in the Tv... If both of these are working you'll need a schematic and a logic probe to test the micro or you may need to replace the main cba P/N 33139d3029a
