More than likely its the field output ic or caps around that stage

using hairdryer and freezer spray you can narrow down the faulty component

best of luck.

My tv has several white horizontal lines running across the top of the tv screen the tv brand is an Insignia SDTV and its an older tv what can be done to remove these lines?

This is a retrace blanking problem. Probably, the Vg2 voltage is too high, so the cut-off point from the picture tube is not correct. Try to lower this voltage. On most common flyback trafo's it is the lower adjusting screw (plastic kind of button) which is used to set the Vg2 voltage. Turn it a bit CCW until the white lines disappear.

White line across screen

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.

Take it to a repair shop.

Small white dots have started to appear on our screen, first, on, then a couple days later 2 more, and today we have 6 small white dots on our screen. What is happening to cause this condition?

Your problem is that the DMD device is failing. You're in luck, though. Mitubishi has recently released a replacement DMD device in order to keep repair costs down for the consumer. Take your TV to an authorized Mitsubishi servicer for repairs.

WHITE SMOKE OUT OF EHAUST

White smoke is caused by engine coolant / antifreeze being processed in the combustion chamber(s) of the engine

Keep in mind that, on a cold day you may see what appears to be white smoke from the exhaust that will disappear after the vehicles engine has warmed up to it's normal operating temp.. This is a normal reaction called condensation... condensation is the result of a small amount of water/dew being drawn into the exhaust usually collecting in the muffler and/or the catalytic converter.

Hope helps.

White lines across top

Your symptom sounds like a faulty capacitor in the vertical deflection circuit.
What you are seeing is called vertical fold-over.
If you want to fix this yourself and are handy with a soldering iron, it is not that difficult. Just look for a 1uf capacitor near the vertical IC. The vertical IC will be a black IC with straight legs mounted to a heat sink, generally in the center of the circuit board.
Note: Be careful when working on a television as the CRT and other capacitors can hold a charge that can be very dangerous.

I would recommend that you contact a local service center and see if you can get a quote for the repair. I would normally charge between $120.00-130.00 for this type of repair. The cost may vary depending on where you are located.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

XB360 Screen colour changes and then disappears

Could possible be your television.

Or maybe your Xbox is overheating.

Try placing your Xbox in a cool spot, direct a fan at it, etc.

Or try getting a new TV or Xbox.
