I cannot get my computer to recognize my sansa e260 player
I cannot get my desktop to find a driver for the e260, but if you use the SD microdisk you can load stuff to the microdisk if you have a card reader. You need to buy the full size SD card with the micro SD attached. Then sync the stuff you want to load and when you boot up your player, it will refresh the data base and you can play the stuff on your card. Seems a shame to waste 4 gigs of hard drive on the player, but I do not know anyone who has found a driver for the e260 that works with XP service pack 2. If you do please send me an email me.
Try a different usb port.

I have the same problem, the computer says that I don't have the backup software available. I'm wondering if when I got this computer defragged that maybe they deleted something. Should I complain to this person or is there a way to get the software back?
Also, The computer has still been telling me the same story, Unrecognized, Unrecognized...etc.
my device is not suporting the photots
My computer will not recognize my sansa e260 mp3 player. I have all the requirements for this player, so it should work. The company had no solutions for me.The company said it must be a problem with my windows media player. I tried to update it, and that didn't help. I can't uninstall the media player as it was preinstalled on my laptop.
I recently got this sansa e260 for Christmas and I installed all of the stuff sansa told me to install and I still cannot get it to work. Sansa told me to put it into recovery mode, then install new firmware, but the firmware will not go the player. I tried all of my laptops usb ports, but it made no difference. What should I do??
Thanks for any help

It is connected and it shows that it is, but my computor says unknown device. I have changed the usb mode to msc and still says that there is no driver, I have downloaded from sandisk and I have tried windows and I still have no luck
My computer recognises the e260 but the sansa media converter does not. I have recorded music files fine but will not record photos. I am using windows vista and sandisc has stopped sending me any reply to any e-mail that I send them.

My children bought two of these players and we can't get our computer to recognize either. We have windows Xp and media player 11 and that hasn't helped. I think the USB ports are OK because they recognize my memory stick and digital camera.
