What is error code 651?

I have fixed mind through following steps, OS Windows 7. This works if you can still use cable internet, so that system can download the driver.

In my case there was no wifi utility, no connections detecting, no bars IIII.

Solution:

Please note it is mostly to do with your network drivers, if you go to device manager under the network adapters, you will see network controller marked in yellow. Dont worry.

To make your wifi connection work please complete the following steps:

Goto:

Device manager > trouble shooting ( column 3 , second last row )

Now under " Hardware and Sounds" heading go to configure a device.

It will start trouble shooting automatically, and try to download and install the right network control driver.

My system is using: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller and after downloading the driver. I have now following installed.

Realtek RTL8191 SE802.11 b/g/n Wifi Adapter ( this was missing )

Now when I go back to device manager I have both are functioning and after reboot I automatically connect to the wifi. So everything is fine.

So my advice to all whatever make is your PC / OS , do go to device manager and try trouble shooting.

Goodluck!

Loss of volume

Hi,

About 6 months ago I had to wipe my hard drive clean and then reinstall all disks for my Dell Dimension 4500 system. Ever since then, there has been no sound for emails, music, Start-up and Logging off etc...etc.

When trying to play a cd for instance, or anything requiring sound, the following message appears:
media_player9.gif 0xC00D11BA: Cannot play the file Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device, such as a sound card or sound controller. You may encounter this error message for one of the following reasons:
  • Your sound device is in use by another program. Quit other programs that may be using your sound device, and then try to play the file again.
  • Your sound device is not functioning properly. To troubleshoot the problem, see the Sound Troubleshooter in Windows Help or refer to your sound device's documentation.
  • You do not have a sound device installed on your computer. Install a sound device, and then try to play the file again.

There are no other programs running and I have repeatedly gone to control panel and gone through all the Windows sound trouble shooting suggestions regarding sound devices. All wire connections have been checked and there was no change in regard to the plug-in areas.

Everything worked great soundwise prior to re-installation, no wires or connection locations were changed, and no one else has used my computer so I have ruled out any accident by another person.

Please call me or email me at [email protected], Phone is 551-497-2795 to help me while at my computer. It will be so much appreciated. This problem has been driving me crazy for too long.

Thanks so much for your prompt attention and looking foward to speaking to a tech repair adviser asap.

Sincerely,
Lauré Bassing
