Do the rca's work and does the speakers work on the radio. if the rca's don't work the rca's do have a fuse inside right next to the rca's on the circuit board. it is a small black rectangle soldered on both sides and has the letter f on it. if no sound comes from the speakers on the doors the output on the radio is probably damaged. the item number of the part is tda 7856

HOOKING UP THESCOSCHE 500K MICRO FARAD CAPACITOR. I LOST THE HOOK UP DIAGRAM AND DON'T WANT TO HOOK IT UP WRONG

Connect ground wire to ground. Connect positive wire to the same positive wire as the amp is. If you lost the charging resistor then connect the wire to the cap first then connect to the power source. This will keep it from sparking and damaging the plating on the connector.

How do you hook up scosche 500k micro farad digital stiffening capacitor? Read more: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_hook_up_scosche_500k_micro_farad_digital_stiffening_capacitor

you hook it up like a battery. positive to positive supply, and negative to negative supply, or ground. it may require a remote turn-on from a head unit, if there is a digital display on it. usually, it is the tiny screw, that looks like it holds the plastic cover on.

I NEED YO KNOW HOW TO HOOK UP A MICRA FARAD 500K

When I used to do this, I would run the power wire from the battery to the Capacitor and then run power wires to said amp. For the crossover, just run an 16 or 18ga wire to one of the Amps power input instead of running it to the cap if its easier. Not sure what Crossover you have, So check the manual for the correct wire size!

How do i wire a 500k micro farad compacitor ot my exsiting amp? need a wire diagram or detailed instructions thanks

The capacitor has two terminals. One is + and one is - . Your Amplifier has three terminals on the power connector. One is connected by a Black wire connected to the body or - of the battery, the second is a Blue wire connected to the remote wire of the Head unit ( for remote ON/OFF of the Power Amp ). The third is the Red wire connected to the + terminal of battery through a big Fuse .
Connect the Capacitor + to the terminal with the Red wire and Connect the Capacitor - to the terminal with the Black wire. Make sure you use heavy cables to do the connection and try to keep the length of the interconnecting cables as short as possible ( to minimize losses ). In other words try to connect the Capacitor as close as possible to the Power Amplifier for maximum efficiencybobhifi_26.jpg.moz-screenshot.pngmoz-screenshot-1.png

Describe how to connect a scosche 500k micro farad

Put the capactior in parallel with your battery right before the amplifier. So Postive lead of cap to your 12 Volt line and negative lead goes to ground. It is also suggested that you charge the cap before placing it directly in parallel with the 12 volt rail. yo ucan do this by using a 1000 ohm resistor with a power rating of 1 watt. Disconnect your amplifiers so it is just your cap and battery. Replace the fuse with the 1000 ohm resistor. Once the resistor is in place hook up your cap. It will take a little bit for it to charge. RC time constant is T = Reistance X Capacitance. So 1000 ohms X .5 Farads = is about 8 minutes, or you can just measure the voltage with an volt meter and when the cap reads 12VDC you can then hook it up. BE CAREFUL NOT TO SHORT TERMINALS. THIS CAPACITOR I STORING A LOT OF CHARGE.

Power acoustik 5 farad neon digital capacitor

You hook it up in parallel with your amp. You'll see a and - on the clear plastic cover.
Hook a wire from your amp or positive to the capacitor
Hook another wire from your amp - or negative to the - on the capacitor.

That's it, you're done.

If the plastic cover is missing, or painted over, with the neon tubes at the top, and the connector/display end facing you, the right side is the left side is -.

I installed a scosche 500k micro farad capacitor in my truck. i have a 800w sony explode running a volvonhag 12" sub, the doors are run by a rockford 40i amp. sounds great till capacitor hook up. amp cuts...

You need to put the capacitor after the in line fuse/ distributor block. Because you are putting it on only your subs you are running it into fail because of a negatuve ground loop which is why they play low then cut out. Also check your grounds for both amps after rewiring and make sure they are tight.
