Help please,
I got a Japanese model of Canon FV m200 and the DV is not being read by my laptop computer. But it seems that it recognizes just the external memory card inside the camcoder. I wanted to download the videos in the DV but had no success so far.
Thanx!!!

Are you connecting to the camera with a USB cable? Many camcorders will not allow you to transfer video over the USB interface. Video transfer often requires a Firewire connection and software. You'll need a Firewire cable (sometimes called a DV cable).
If you computer is reasonably new it most likely will have a Firewire port. If not, you'll need to install a Firewire PCI card.
The software I use is called Scenalyzer. There are other options, but Scenalyzer has a free demo you can try. You can download the software here:

The demo software is fully functional, but it will leave a watermark on your video.
Good luck.
