Give Meade service a call; they sometimes send out small parts free.

Testimonial: "that was very useful, thanks PaulMo.Meade catalogue does not list any spares . esp small ones! A call may help! Cheers"

The light- red light will not come on

There is a battery inside the red dot finder-- replace it with a new one. Usually the on off switch is on the side of the red dot finder.

The CIR electronic finder dose not work

This is a simple red dot finder. First check the battery inside the finder-- and replace it.

If it still does not work you can buy a new one here:

What size battery does the 46114375 take?

You mean for the red dot finder? Your telescope itself does NOT use batteries.

Most of these use a small "watch" battery available at either Wal Mart (in the watch department) or at a place like OfficeMax. They are not hard to find.

Undo the red dot finder or remove the battery and take it with you to get a replacement.

How to use cir electronic finder

You mean the red dot finder?

Put and object in the center of the eyepiece. Can be top of telesphone pole, a distant church steeple---

Without moving the main telescope, adjust the red dot in the finder to match the object in the main eypiece.

Red dot finder scope

Simple-- you can also do this during the day on an object at least 100 yards away-- but at night; get the moon centered in the eyepiece and without moving the telescope center the red dot on the moon. This will get you almost aligned-- then put a bright star in the eyepiece and readjust the red dot to center the star.

How do you use the red dot finder? and when I look throught the format eyepiece everything is upside down.... Thank you Stacie

Astronomical telescopes show all objects upside down and reversed-- this is not a problem; there is no up or down in space.

The red dot finder helps you point the telescope-- focus on a distant object and center it in the eyepiece.

Without moving the telescope -- adjust the red dot onto the object. Now you can use the finder to locate objects.

Red dot finder doesn"t turn on

I had this problem too. You need to go into the "red dot finder" menu each time and just go into each option and confirm the blink intensity, etc. After I do this, it turns on.
