1 year used maybe bought new by a shop ??? and no warranty as customer ??? go to the dealer,(if the purchase voucher is there ) if not .....then its another problem . then the story can be over an over time purchase but it can be happen that the batteries are 2 years older then the tool was bought, and maybe not to much used the last times the batteries have a problem BUT ARE NOT DEFECT! the deep discharge protection is to low for the charger to let the battery recognized on the charger as a healthy battery unit but only on Dewalt batteries to do a little boost with a charger 12 v 4 A of a car battery charger only for 20 seconds + to + on battery and - to - is enough for the 14.4 battery that it will load direct after the boost put it in the real Dewalt charger again in the charger that will be recognize the batterie again,a very high chances the problem will gone after a full load doing all the batteries IF LI-ION allways as much as possible on the charger , they don't love to be handled like Nickel Cadmium to training for capacitance training by deep discharge , li-ion battery cells have no memory effects and liked to be as much as possible on the charger .
