I have a massive crack in my screen so I need to fix that. But the cover of my phone is gold, so I thought that instead of just changing the screen i could just buy a whole new face plate and have it pink..how I originally wanted it.
The only problem is...I don't know how to do that. Can anyone help me?

Hi,
There are 2 things that cause the massive sparking:
1. you placed inside the microwave oven a metal plate or one with silvery or golden drawings;
2. the mica sheet that covers the magnetron window is compromised (has holes, it is cracked) or it is covered with burnt (carbonised) food.
You have to carefully inspect the mica sheet and wash or replace it, if necessary. Hope that helps.
Regards,
Dan
Flywheels very seldom give a problem and have nothing to do with acceleration problems . If it was loose you would have massive vibrations and would know of a problem . If it is an automatic the so called flywheel ( flex plate) have a tendency to crack at the crank mounting bolts and the cracks radiate out to where the torque converter mounts on and then there will be no drive or start action as the ring gear just falls away from the starter. The noise may be from the plate starting to fail so remove the inspection cover and check the plate for cracks or rust streaks which are cracks that you will not see.
Hi axim5721,
Please don't remove the face plate off yourself, even if a bit gets broken it wont fit again, the screen of LCD screen on sony is very sensitive,, so take it to the repair ,, only they know how to replace it,,,,,,
you're best off looking online and google the apple user guide for pictures but if you take the sim tray out the gold numbers should be facing the same side as the screen and the gold plate should be facing as the back of the phone and follow the shape of the sim tray to see which way the cut off corner would go
The mic is probably damaged. This can be found on the piece that slides up. Removing the face plate would expose the mic whis is on the bottom left of the cover (It looks like a black round rubber with 2 gold tiny springs sticking out of it)
If the these gold springs are damaged or missing then the mic needs to be replaced. If they are not damaged the membrane might need to be replaced.
ebay, they are around $15, just be careful prying it off. You might have to take the top cover off to remove the glass. To put the new glass on close it all up first, then stick the new glass on. good luck
Shouldnt cost us any thing, i am on my 4th nokia 5300. the first one just plain died, screen stopped working, the next two lasted 2 weeks and 3 weeks respectivly before the screens cracked. I
I dont abuse my phones, i never dropped them in those times, just pulled phone out of pocket and the screens were cracked.
Filed a complaint with Nokia and also with T-mobile so at least i have some kind of history thast they can look at.
The face plate snaps on, unless your talking about changing the front LCD cover. Then I would take it to my local service provider store and let them do it. It's there job.
you simply need a replacement screen, or do as I have and redneck mod one. If you get the screen take off the faceplate, (reply with email address for guide), remove the cracked screen, and glue on the new one. (WARNING, NEVER PRY OFF THE CRACKED SCREEN ON TOP OF THE LCD SCREEN) putting pressure on this could completely damage your phone. The other way is to again remove the face plate and cracked screen. then find a hard plastic or plexiglass, cit it out to size and there you go. you can even paint the edges black on the bottom side of the screen and very few will know the difference if you do this correctly.
