We have a Phaser 7400. It continues to give us

We have a Phaser 7400. It continues to give us the error code 941. We have to turn off the machine, take out the cyan and magenta cartridge chips, restart the machine, replace the chips and then it works. We have replaced the entire cyan cartridge this week, and replaced the magenta cartridge a few weeks ago. The error code started following the replacement of the magenta cartridge. I appreciate any advice you could share.

If you've already changed out the toner cartridge and the problem persists, then it could be several other parts that are either defective, dirty or blocked.

You may want to contact a certified Xerox technician and have them look at the Imaging Unit Agitator Bar and the Low Toner Sensors for Cyan/Magenta. There could also be a faulty toner supply motor.

Testimonial: "Thank you for the advice about the agitator bar and sensor. I'll do some research on those items & will also do a thorough cleaning of the inside."

Xerox phaser 7400 giving error - replace imaging unit- what solution now?

Did it specify a color you should replace? The machine has 4 image units (CMYK) each with a different part#. Replacing them is easy, no tools required. Open the top door, lift out the entire image unit, move the toner over to the new unit, and lower the image unit. Here are the part #'s for the 7400 for each color. Iteminc.com has these online.

I have Xerox Phaser 7400 with an error 928 we changed the fuser 2 weeks ago now the error has come back

Error 928 refers to the fuser motor failing. Problem could be with fuser motor, motor drive board or engine board.
One other possible cause would be if you are sending too thick a card stock through the machine, this can cause drag on the fuser which the machine interprets as a motor failure.
Hope this helps.

Phaser 7400 not printing red

I would suspect you do not have drive to the red imaging unit area. A gear may have fractured, a motor not runing, which would normally give you a fault code, or a clutch is slipping not driving the red components.
