My KDL46XBR2 Sony tv is about a year and a half old. While flipping through channels the screen went blank and lost audio. The power indicator started turning off then on. I think it may be a fuse that has blown and it can't power up the screen.

The first thing I tried was to cut the power. I have cut the power for 30-40 minutes.
It isn't blinking really. It is trying to power up and then gives up and shuts down. There are two lights, both in the decorative glass border of the tv. One is the power indicator and the other is the word "Sony" in the bottom center of the glass border that is always lit while the tv is turned on. In addition to the lights going off and on you can hear the normal clicking off sound that you would hear if you had the volume turned way down or muted.
Does this model have a user replaceble fuse?
Is the micro plug an internal switch that resets when the power has been cut or a physical switch that needs to be reset?
Is there any external reset buttons. The manual referred to pressing the up arrow while powering on and hold it until the tv came on and then turned off, then release the up arrow. I attempted this with no luck.
you may want to unplug unit from wall 4 a minute to reset micro-plug it back in-see what happens-if lites blink which ones and how many times they blink
