Hi Lori, you shouldn't have to grease anything on that machine. What is the problem with the washer that you think you have to grease it? If it's squeaking while it's in the spin cycle,it has a leaking tub bearing and the bearings need to be replaced. You should call your local repair company to check it out and give you a price quote. Hope that helps.

I have a Sears Kenmore washer (Model # 11092281100). I replaced the motor coupler, and I checked the alignment of everything before reconnecting the motor clamps/clips. It seemed like the motor shaft was...

It could be the grease. It could run without noise if it was not installed all the way. Here is a link for properly installing Motor coupler video Now if everything looks right it is probally just the grease.

Kenmore 80 Series washer leaves brown grease marks

Remove the agitator and check the shaft seal underneath the plastic drive block at the top of the shaft. Move the shaft in different directions to check the condition of the top bearing. If none or very slight, replace the seal at the top of the shaft supporting post. Clean any grease that is outside of the seal when you are done. Be sure to not damage the seal surface on the shaft when removing/replacing the seal and pre-grease the new seal's inner lip before installing.

Fairly new ge washer spitts out grease/oil from under agitater

Remove the agitator and inspect the upper shaft bearing condition by trying to push the shaft in various directions. It should not be possible to observe movement in a good bearing. If the bearing looks good, then replace the rubber seal just under the plastic block on the shaft top. You must be very careful not to damage the shaft where the seal lip rides. If the bearing is loose, the machine must be torn down to remove the shaft from the supporting post.

I AM REPLACING THE BASKET ASSEMBLY ON MY KENMORE FRONT LOAD WASHE

The shaft on the spin basket assembly is not lubricated. The shaft is inserted through the sealed bearings located in the rear outer tub shell. Placing any grease on the shaft would end up in your wash and damage your clothes.
