Baldwin Model 230 DE when turned on makes a loud thunk like the volume is turned way up, then when you disturb or shake the organ or stomp on the floor it makes a loud noise like if you twanged a coil...

If the organ has a reverb spring "tank" in it, that is likely where the spring sound comes from.

The initial noise is likely due to the initial unbalance of the power audio amp.

Lesser organs don't disconnect the speakers till the amps attain balance so the inrush pulses the speakers..

The volume doessnt go very high on my zenith 32' tube tv.

Hello daymakerserv,

Ok you are correct these sets have a master volume control accessible fro the remote control only. If you have the remote go to menu Audio settings and possibly advanced audio settings and you should see the master audio setting. Now you have to have the remote to do this. If you do not have the remote control, you will have to order them from the manufacture, they do have the model of remote that will work with these sets or they can provide an OEM remote that will allow you to access these functions. A universal remote may not work in gaining access to the master settings, so it is best to contact the manufacture and get either an exact replacement or one of the OEM models of remote.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Mic feedback. I sing on a shure beta 58 mic, into a 350 watt peavey amp, into 2 - 200 watt peavey speakers. My band is loud, and I simply cannot get my mic loud enough for them to hear me, without constant...

It sounds as though you are pointing the peavey at the band in a practice situation? If so make sure that each speaker is at about 60 degree angle to either side of the back of the mike (you facing the speakers), most mics reject feedback when the the user is directly in front of a monitor, but Beta 58s' tend to feedback more in that situation. Alternatively (if it is a practice room situation), why not place the speakers behind the band at 60 degrees each and turn to face the band.

HTS 6500/37 sub woofer

the reciever should have a "subwoofer level" setting, or a "bass level control" If you cannot find this then try to place the "sub-woofer" away from walls and elevate it from the floor. This will reduce it's loudness/ intensity at annoying frequencies...

Good Luck

Can't increase & decrease the volume

Double check your connections. Still not working fine. Remove the input jack connector and try to touch or hold the tip of the connector, also adjust the volume of the speaker, you should heard loudly the 60 hertz sound of your body signal. Otherwise you have a defective amplifier in the speaker system.

The volume is way to high even on the lowest setting

Sorry I don't have a solution. We have this model and ours is loud also, at the very lowest setting. I disconnected some of the speakers, and sometimes have to put the working speakers into a drawer to lower the sound.
