First you need a player that plays divx if it does then try downloading the movie onto a different disc the dvd-r have never worked on my player even though it says they will the dvd+r sometimes works its a crap shoot.

My new LG DVD player DV6H dosnt play divx movie also its not play the register movie.

LGDV6H wont play mp4. IT plays well mkv, avi and other formats. You will have to convert files to mkv to play and its very easy. Download mkvtoolnix from http://www.bunkus.org/blog/ and use the program mkvmerge. add your files and mux it. BEWARE after adding and before muxing please select each track and go to 'extra option' and select in compression 'none'. Then mux it and play the mkv file. Trust me it works. It has worked for me.

Samsung wont play entire divx movie

If you are talking about the fact that this player zooms picture when playing divx and does not allow manual correction, my solution was to go out and buy a pioneer player today (DV-220VK). It's strange as the samsung plays normal dvd format fine but they have obviously got the divx playback wrong. So far the pioneer has been great!

Can`t get it to play dvds from the computer which are AVI.

the AVI discs are DIVX I am assuming.. Does your player support DIVX media? I am not sure what your model is, but I am thinking that your player will not support DIVX. If this is the case, you might need to burn new DVDs in the traditional VOB format that it can see. Check your owners manual to see about DIVX support.

thanks!

How do i burn a down loaded movie?

And you downloaded this movie in what format?
If you are planning on converting a DIVX encoded .avi file to a standard DVD format good luck with that... perhaps http://www.afterdawn.com could get you started in the direction you desire...

simplest thing to do is burn the downloaded FILE onto a DATA DVD, AFTER purchasing a stand alone DVD player that has the DIVX logo firmly emblazoned upon it. Then, simply pop the DVD in your stand alone DVD player and watch it wiggle, see it jiggle.

I have wasted 4 hours with 1 of your so called (experts) i want answers not excuses

Don't know if I can help or not, but this what I do.
I've downloaded the DIVx player and converter software (free) to my computer. I can download mpeg, avi movies, etc, and convert them to DIVx format if I need to. The DIVx player has a 'burn' feature that is fast and burns them in a DIVx format. My old DVD Recorder will not play DIVx format but my 'cheap' Phillips will. I just keep it hooked up to my old DVD recorder through the front RCA input jacks. When I want to play a DIVx movie and watch it on the TV, I use the cheap Phillips player. I have to change the input on my old DVD Recorder to 'Front Input. I usually record the movie on a DVD R in my DVD Recorder while I'm watching it if I want to keep a copy to play later on the DVD Recorder. Most of the time, I burn the movies to RW DVD and erase them later.

I don't remember the web site for the DIVx players and converters, but you should be able to find it with a search.

Hope this helps.

DivX certified player cannot read DivX files on DVD+R

Is there a Divx logo on the player? Does this particular DVD player capable of reading DVD+R disks?

If you used the Divx converter program, there is a way to create a DVD in Divx format with menus. Did you use that particular program? If you didn't, you may have the DVD in a data format and the player can't read it that way.

Movie download

The movie you had downloaded is in AVI or divx format ....for that you need to have a divx enabled DVD Player.......
If your dvd player does't support DivX format .... it won't play it..
Try running that movie in DivX enable DVD Player

Burning shared dvd

The main problem is the dvd format dvd cannot support avi mpeg or dat flv or mov format it only supports VOB format. So, if you have any video files then please convert it through Ulead DVD Movie Factory 5 or 6, Or DVD-Lab, Tmpgenc DVD Author 3 with DivX support. These software will create VIDEO_TS folder on dvd and these folder is completely read by DVD players.

Hope this will solver your problem.
