How can i play ps2 on lcd without having a black and white screen ? how can i connect the cables ?.....when i look at the back of my lcd i find three ports (red white yellow) when i use them the screen is...

1) The set of input (Yellow= Composite video, Red= Right channel audio, White= Left channel audio). This set of input is for composite video.

2) The set of input (Red= Red video signal, Green= Green video signal + sync, Blue= Blue signal, Red= Right channel audio, White = Left channel audio (the Red and White will be grouped close together). This set of input is used for Component video for HD signal.

You should try using composite video source (Yellow RCA jack) from DVD player and feed to the monitor and see if it works OK with all color showing that way we acn find out if it is the video source problem or the monitor video signal processing problem. Try the PS2 on the TV if it works OK also.

What channel or setting is used on the TV to play a DVD?

Hi, Channel 3 or 4 might work for older TVs. Most new HDTV's have a mode setting in the menu. (Video 1 or 2 or 3) or (Component 1 or 2). On your remote you may have DVD button. Try all these suggestions, 1 of these will work. You can play with the remote too. Good luck.

Watch tv properly with JVC DVD off

Some philips tv's have a built in aerial amplifier, perhaps if you bought a digital aerial booster it will improve the picture quality.

I need help putting my surround sound to my tv .dvd and x box

2 ways to do this

if your tv has multiple inputs and an audio output its easy if not there is a way but its more complicated

if your dvd and xbox have HDMI (link to inexpensive hdmi cables) outputs pick up some cables on ebay and use that to go directly to the TV then use the audio output of the Tv and run it to any input on your receiver EXCEPT PHONO. I use video 1 since its easy to remember.

all you do is set your receiver to video 1 and then set your tv to the input you want to watch ie: video 1 for xbox, video 2 for the dvd
this will also work if you use component inputs on your tv (the red, green blue ones)

Now the harder way to do it.

Your receiver has high def (red, blue, green) component inputs

plug your dvd, xbox and cable box if you have one into the 3 video inputs on your receiver and teh TV audio can be plugged into the CD or aux input.

here is the issue.

running both the audio and VIDEO signal through the receiver may degrade your video quality based on the type of video processor that your receiver has.

secondly lets say your dvd doesn't have component outputs and you have to run s-video cable instead then you have to run multiple monitor outputs to your tv as the receiver wil not "upconvert or downconvert" the signal from one format to the other.

Newer higher end receivers will do the conversion but usually not until you get into the $500 and up price point.

when i do installs I try to ,ake it so that people have to push the fewest amount of buttons. Most people know how to switch the input on the TV but then get confused if they have to also start switching inputs on secondary devices such as receivers

hope that helps

While watching blue ray, the receiver loses the Signal

check the continuity of the AV Cables and check for any loose connection/dry solder in the connectors

I am having difficulty when I try to program the VCR to tape a TV show that I am not watching. When I go through the nine steps that are outlined in the manual on pages 24 and 25 the TV will tape for me...

if you are useing a cabel box you need to split your cable before the cable box with a two set coupler and run the second cable line to the VCR input and this should solve your problem. if you want to record the chanels from your cable box and not watch a diffrent chanel you can leave it hooked as is and select the chanel you want to record with your cable box tunner and leave it turned on, set the vcr to record channel 3 or 4 which ever is the channel you leave your tv tunner on and record that way.

Panasonic Viera TH-37PX8B Green Screen When Turn On DVD Player

I had the same problem, after reading the forums and playing around for a while I cracked it. It was to do with the output from the DVD player, in the DVD player setup I changed the output from RGB to s-video and bingo! Hope that helps

DVD movies do not play

A blue screen means the TV is not receiving a video signal. Check all connections, then try another player, cable, etc. Also, check DVD and TV AV settings.

Picture is of poor quality (wavy)

This may indicate a problem with the RF tuner. When you are using the DVD player is the output of the DVD using the F (RF Coax) Conncetor or is the DVD connect to the TV using the Video/Audio cables (either Composite (Red, White, Yellow) or Component (Red, Green, Blue)). I am do however believe this to be a RF tuner problem. Make sure that the TV is set to channel 3 and the cable box is connected to the TV (set to channel 3). What you could also do is get digital cable and use the video output jack as the input to the TV on one of your aux positions.

I would first make sure the tunner is on channel 3 when using the regular cable box, or if you are using the TV's cable ready features make sure the tunner is working correctly, this might have to be done by a qualifide TV repair person.

I hope this helps
Thank you,

Dvd burner

Can you try just running a/v cable from your tv output to the inputs on the ilo, then whatever you watch on your tv you can record on your dvd burner. My new SDTV doesnt have audio out except Coax so this won't work for me on that tv. Why doesnt the newer tv's have audio AND video outputs???
