Try good grade silicon spray, or equivalent. Use nothing not rated good grade.

You probably can, if you take the drawer out and let it warm up a bit. The WD-40 probably could freeze. But more importantly, WD-40 is not a lubrication, so it may not exactly be the product you want to use if your having a sticky drawer or want to lubricate your Channel. WD-40 is designed to actually clean out deposits, and it will also wash out any lubrication that is there. Is actually a cleaner, not a lubricator

I wouldnt recommend to do it. It may permanently soften plastic, remove paint from track etc. Look around for food grade grease or oil

SOURCE: Loose freezer door handle

Maytag uses two types of door handle mounts. first look at the bottom side of door handle to see if there are tiny set screws. If there is you might just have to tighten them with an allen wrench. If it doesn't you need to grasp the handle firmly and pull it towards your left, sometimes they can be a little stubburn and require a light wrap with a rubber mallet. This will remove the handle. In this case there will be a clip inside the handle end, check to see if it is bent or if the handle itself is cracked, although I have seen some where the handle mount has become loose and that can be tighted by turning clockwise.

SOURCE: I just bought a house with a Kenmore stainless

Check top see if the arms of the drawer are fully seated into the rails which support it and extend from inside the freezer when the drawer is opened. On most french door refrig's, there are hooks on the back side and tabs on the front side which are sometimes hard to get back in. Then the door is locked into the rail with a screw at the point where the rail meets the freezer door.

Testimonial: "Absolutely right! The drawer was not inserted properly on the rail. Thanks so much!"

SOURCE: Bottom freezer drawer pull-handle came loose at

It is a bit difficult to do it all by yourself with perfect finishing. If the screw head is covered with the handle material, you will have to drill it through, till you reach the screw head. At this point you can do the normal fix. Companies cover the screw head these days with the handle material just for a better look, but it have major disadvantages like this. It's always better to ask a company tech itself on what to do, i.e; if you value the aesthetic appearance.
Cheers. Thank You.

We just got our refrig out of storage and it appears as though the tracks for the freezer drawer (bottom freezer) are sticking from some rust that developed. can we us WD40 or something else

WD 40 is good for this but it is not designed for a problem like that. WD means Water Displacer and it works best to lubricate things that are subject to wet conditions before damage has occurred.

Kitchen aid French door refrigerator has freezer drawer at bottom that doesn't open after being in storage for over a year

Use a hair dryer to heat it and try spraying some silicone spray such as WD 40 around the tracks. Something has dried and caused it to stick. Try removing the top of the drawer from the frig. It you can, it will be a lot easier to un-stick

The bottom freezer drawer is not closing so the freezer is getting an ice build up

It sounds like you either have a drawer that's off track, or something has fallen behind the drawer, not allowing the drawer to close. Empty the freezer, and pull the drawer all the way out. Look behind the basket of the drawer and see if some thing has fallen behind it. If nothing is behind the drawer, then the drawer must be off track. At this point, you'll need to pull the drawer out to the most extended point. Now push the drawer back in about 3-4 inches an **** it open fairly hard. Not hard enough to move the whole refrigerator. Just enough to put the drawer back on track. Hope this helps. : )

Freezer drawer on sub zero stuck

chances are it is frozen stuck and also needs lubrication. Do this. Unplug it for an hour and try the drawer. If it doesnt open wait another half hour and try it again. When it does open, dry the rails thoroughly with a towel and then a hair blow dryer. Finally spray the rails with a lubricating spray like WD40 or better yet some white lithium lubricating grease, both products readily available at any hardware store, home depot, etc.

Freezer Drawer won't open on Kenmore 22" Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

Try raising the door. It may be off the roller tracks inside. If you get it to open you'll find the problem. These tracks are like kitchen drawer tracks.

Sliding drawer in the top refrigerator section

hi i have the 700tc as well,,ok the best way to place the drawer,,,extend the 2 sliders all the way out,,there is one pin at the end of each slider and 1 hole on each side of the drawer lip which lays on the track ,,,the holes on the drawer must fall into the pins otherwise it will not close,,,so place the drawer on top of the slider ,,,what usually happens is the sliders tend to roll back into the housing of the fridge,,,so while the drawer is resting on the sliders reach under the lip of the drawer and pull each slider until the the holes of the drawer falls into the pins,,,when the drawer is seated in the pins it will close smooth,,,hope this helps
