This Video will show you how to disable the TalkBack Mode on your phone.
it can be done but it is a long process . check out www.cbtricks.com they have the information you need about talk back . if what they have isn't what you want you may have to google it for the information you want.
it could be the resistor that they used or if its an adjustable talkback then its possible you don't have it adjusted correct. If its talk back with a resistor take the top cover off and make sure its connected from pos to neg on your ext and pa plug ins. or could it be to much talk back then go with a bigger resistor to little then go with a smaller one.
adjust your talkback to just open then set your echo to where you want it. Now turn your amp on and re-adjust both the talkback and the echo . If you have a speaker nearby the radio may be feeding back through it so move it away from your radio . Now start talking with the mic and adjust your echo because you should be able to hear yourself talk through your talkback.
re do the talkback. take out the resistor for the talkback. and put in the talkback that is a little outta phase and you won't get that constant feed back. make sure all the modulation limiters are not cut also.. A good shop would tune up and talk back a radio correctly for $10-$15 dollars. any more and they are ripping you off. I make sure my customers radios do not squeal before giving it back. that means i may have to try different values for the talk back to be right. so the customer can have the mic gain 100 % and it be ok...then the microphone mic adjustment can be set also.. let me know if you need help
the talkback is too loud. there is no way to adjust the talkback volume on this radio. Talkback is really just so you can check how your audio sounds and your echo. Once it set, there is really no need to have it on.
Turning down the gain on your mic will stop the squeal.
the squeal is cause by feed back from audio from the talk back being heard from the mic.
A 200 ohm 1-watt resistor across pins 1 & 4 of the mic jack will make some talkback. More or less resistance will make less or more talkback. Note the association of less and more.
