SOURCE: change blade

OK first raise the cutting head. Loosen the screw that holds the guard in place and move out of the way. Find the spindle lock on the right hand side of the gearcase and turn blade by hand (UNPLUG SAW FIRST) until it locks. With the wrench supplied with saw put it on the blade bolt and turn it clockwise to loosen, it has left hand threads, remove outer flange and blade. Let me know it you need any more help

SOURCE: loose replacement blade

I completely removed the blade and put it back on, tightening the locknut, and now it works perfectly. The blade has not come loose and have used the machine for the last 3 months. The only thing I can think of is that somehow I didn't have the blade correctly installed in the first place, although it didn't wobble or anything.

SOURCE: how do I install the spring after changing the

what spring? do you mean the one in the guard? if so you don;t have to remove it to change the blade, give me the exact model number or you can go to makitatools.com and download a breakdown that shows the reassembly of the guard, it is not that hard, and also you can download an owners manual that shows the proper blade replacement procedure.

Go to: searspartsdirect.com and enter the full model number minus the decimal point. Full drawings of all replaceable parts will be displayed as well as parts lists and prices. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: How do you change the

With the saw unplugged, push the spindle lock in on the motor side of the saw (a short black rod) while turning the blade by hand. The spindle lock will seat and hold the blade still so that you can use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the blade on. Use the spindle lock again for tightening a new blade on the saw.

Need to know how to change blade on rockwell motorized miter saw model 34-010 8' blade

Some blades have a little hole; in them to put a small screwdriver or even a nail in to hold the blade when you put a wrench on it to loosen the nut. If there is no hole I use a small screwdriver and put it in the teeth to hold as I turn the nut out Mine has a cover you have to undo before taking the blade off.

Milwaukee magnum miter saw blade change

See page 9 of this manual: http://documents.milwaukeetool.com/58-14-6955d3.pdf.

The manual is for a 12 inch saw, but the instructions will be similar. UNPLUG THE SAW FIRST!

My 10" Bosch miter saw

I would remove the blade and try the saw again, there is a possibility that you might have gotten a flange on incorrectly or left the spacer out.

How to change the blade?

I don't know if this will help you much but I've got a DeWalt 14 inch chop saw and a 10 inch miter saw and they both have a small lever on the right hand side of frame just behind blade If you depress this lever and slowly rotate blade until it drops into place this locks the blade for changing. Hope this helps you. Thanks.

Changing the blade

there is a nut holding the blade in the center , it is left handle thread , there should be a locking mechanism to hold the blade while you unscrew the nut

How do I replace my mitre saw blade?

It should still easily fit a 5/8" blade. The arbor shape shouldnt have any effect on the type of arbor hole needed on the saw blade (only round arbor holes are made on saw blades. You will probably find the arbor securing nut has a shape that fits into the flat gaps between the saw blade and the arbor when fixed. So grab a 5/8" round arbor saw blade and give it a go. It should work fine.
It is the arbor nut that secures the blade onto the arbor via friction which holds it on.
