Hi Tebogo Makhubela, it is possible to replace a T3.15A / 250V fuse with an F5A / 250V fuse, but the risk is very high, since this way it will not be protected, as designed by the manufacturer and the result can be very expensive at $$$$$

I need to find a fuse for my jbl sub 160 subwoofer.

Those are pretty common. I'd pull the old one just to make sure the new one looks like it and be SURE the new one is a "Type T" or Slo-Blo.
Google "30mm 3.15A 250v slo blo fuse" and you will find them at Mouser, DigiKey, even Amazon. Better still--if you have a local electronic parts store, go there.

Klh subwoofer keeps blowing it's fuse.

Most likely the amp in the sub has blown. It will need repair or replacement. I'd take it to an expert in repairing amps, it's not a job for you unless you're experienced in troubleshooting these things.

KLH ASW8 Powered subwoofer keeps blowing 3A-250V fuses

The transistors at the output stage of the sub amplifier circuit might be shorted so each time you power on, the circuit draws a very high amount of current which causes the fuse to blow. It's definitely a problem with the circuit so using a higher current rated fuse would probably just result in damaging the amp even more. You should ask a qualified electronics technician to take a look at it. I hope you can fix it.

1501 sub will not power up. i opened, inpected and replaced power fuse 250v 6.3 amps replaced with same fuse and it blew as well immediately. what to do and how. I have some technical experience.

Isolate and look for possible shorted components.

Isolate the main power transformer from the board, and see if the

fuse still blow.

If it doesnt , then the rectifier and capacitors to the regulators.

But don't forget to check for possible shorted transistor

The required fuse is 1.6 A / 125V an is blown, I wen to radio shack and bought a 1.6A/250V and it has blown 2 already, what can I do or check to fix it? This is a Sony Sub-woofer model sa-wmsp1.

Hi,
If power transformer T1 got shorted or its output voltage got shorted for some reason, fuse will blow in Sony SA-WMSP1 active subwoofer.
Check power transformer, D401 bridge rectifiers and IC301 power amplifier out chip. Any of them is bad.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Altec Lansing ada745 fuse

It is written on the sub. You can also take it out or look at the spare which is taped to the power cord wall plug. I believe it's T1A 250V fuse
