Drive belt broken or slipped of pulleys, hydrostatic drive filter(s) plugged. Should be one or those, Roger. Follow the drivebelt with your hand (disconnect battery to be safe) and see if it hasn't slipped off the engine drive pulley, idler pulleys, or axle pulley. If you tractor is hydrostat, may be time to replace filter.

Im sure you have a hydrostatic or an automatic forward and reverse right well your ****** is on its way out when it warms up it likes to crawl in this case even if you attempt to check oil or even try draining and putting in different oil its a tough one ****** is expensive

When i cutting grass on a level surface the ride is smooth, however when i attempt to go uo a slight incline the ride is rough. Why?

It could be fuel related when you incline. Either not enough gas in tank or float is not set up rite or fuel filter is clogged and not letting sufficient fuel flow to carb. Good Luck...

A friend has a YTH2454, 07-08 and it just returned from a $500 service from the local dealer.Immediately it was noticed that the unit made a whining noise and did not climb the small inclines in the yard...

very common husqvarna problem if you read through these postings daily. that mower is actually made by AYP and that is about right price for a new tranny, inability to climb slight grades is the first sign. you can search eBay for folks selling hydrostatic trannies off NOS and there are mower junkyards out there if you google around. the tranny went out in mine after about 6 years and hundreds and hundreds of hours. if it only has a hundred hours you could check the the manufacturer about possible recalls, do that through a google search of the company name. changing the fluid is something i tried before scrapping mine, did not work and was a day of work to remove, drain, reinstall and bleed. I did get over 300 bucks for scrap mower on ebay, folks wanted the engine and the deck.

good luck

I have a husqvarna 22 horse kohler 48 inch deck, the mower runs fine but when u first put it in gear it is very slow to move more so in reverse. and sometimes does not want to go up inclines, can this be...

generally signs of a failing transmission. yes you can replace it yourself in less than a day with the proper tools. get the whole thing up on jacks, drop the deck, remove the wheels, remove linkage and belt, remove bolts and the thing falls into your hands. problem is that you can buy a used mower for less than the price of a transmission. look around for a used or possibly rebuilt exchange transmission. google helps a lot.
