I bought a used RCA VR319 VHS player and it worked amazing. My husband ejected a movie, put in another tape, and now it keep flashing power, but won't play, and the TV goes from blue VHS screen to "no signal" as the machine does its flashing. What happened? Oh, and it won't eject the tape that's in there now.
Hi Yvonne, as you comment, there may be two reasons for failure, the internal RCA straps stretched and therefore fail to transmit the movement so that it works correctly and the other reason, the VHS tapes, which are wet
Observe through the two upper windows of the Video cassette, that the tape is without any white spots, if white spots appear, these are due to moisture and the tape with humidity, it cannot move correctly inside the video cassette, and can cause the fault what do you describe
Also verify that the drum of the video heads is clean and free of moisture
I hope you can watch your videos

Espero puedas ver tus videos

Testimonial: "There is no moisture. The video cassette is stuck in the machine, so there is no way to check anything on it anyhow. We haven't had high humidity in a while, so there would be no reason for machine or tape to have any moisture, and we take good care of our collection."
Well Yvonne, then you have to carefully remove the cassette, manually
You would have to take out the covers and observe where the motor that governs the entire mechanism of entry and exit of the cassette and transfer of the tape
if you can well, but I advise you to look for a specialized technical service in videocassetteras
I hope you can solve the problem
Regards Franco Dosil
Saludos Franco Dosil

Hi there.
Sometimes a gentle slap with the palm of your hand with the door facing towards the ground does the trick, make sure you power it off then on press eject while you gently slap it.
Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
SOURCE: Magnavox mwd 2206 dvd vcr player....shuts off with eject word across screen.
I have the same unit (Magnavox DVD/VCR MWD 2206). If the top cover was removed, the DVD player would work fine. But if the clear plastic sensor post on the VCR side is covered, the unit would shut off. I removed the screw holding the sensor post in place and cleaned the led light under it using a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol on it. Then I screwed the clear plastic sensor back in place and cleaned it the same way. The unit now works great!
