UPDATE front load washer doesn't spin

Samsung Model WF306LAWXAA isn't spinning and draining. Update - the drain pump was fine, all hoses were cleaned, replaced the drain hose just to be sure. When I looked a the main board I saw a diode burn out under the acrylic they coat the board with. Time for a new washer....

SOURCE: Frigidaire front load washer won't drain or spin

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

Your drain is most likely clogged.

The timer runs out, and the water has not completely drained.

Just before the pump, there is a screen cup that needs to be disassembled and cleared of debris. Many times small articles of clothing or coins can block up the passage.

CLICK HERE for all the blowout diagrams of your washer.
THIS ONE - of the tub and motor - specifically - shows the filter cup (part #340) circled.

This is a common design flaw in front load washers - and easily remodied.

SOURCE: ATF6000ES front load washer won't spin during regular cycle.

clogged filter will cause this error code. I have the same washer and the filter located inside the rubber boot attached to the pump was full of junk. there was enough room for water to get thru but not enough for full volume. clean it out and it should work. note : its a pain to get the boot back on so be ready and take it slow. this worked for me.

SOURCE: Electrolux front load washer door won't

First try to reset the lock unplugged the power machine for a few (10) minutes (maybe release the interlock door switch). If this work, them its possible that you need door latch replacement.

To do it, turn off power, unplug at the mains. Drag the machine out so you can see the back. Remove the 2 screws that hold the top on, pull back or tap the top forward (depending on the model) to unclip it. Peer inside. You will see the door switch inside the chassis exactly in line with the door handle on the outside. See if you manually make the mechanism release, or if you have a stubby philips screwdriver, you can probably unscrew the switch complely.

My Kenmore 970-C47092 washer won't spin or drain

The pump went out. When a washer doesn’t drain it won’t spin either. The problem is the pump isn’t working. This could be a easy fix. When clothes are loaded, a sock or a small item can accidentally slide over the wash tub and land in the outer holding tank. The pump will pull down the sock and clog the pump from a hose connected to it. Separate the pump from the hose and you might find a handkerchief, small rag or sock inside.

Samsung vrt front load washer WF218ANB/XA Burned up the drain pump. Installed a new one, now washer will work until the spin cycle. In spin cycle the door lock clicks and it will not drain or spin

Make sure the drain filter is not clogged. Most Samsung have an access door in the lower right hand corner to access and clean out this filter. If this is clogged or the drain hose is clogged, you will have these spin and drain problems.

Frigidaire Front load Washer Does not spin (Drains fine, Water comes in fine)

Hi John - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. The humming noise is mainly caused due to the drainage hose/pump possibly being clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may be experiencing another possible issue with the faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

If your washer won't drain, check these: It spins, but doesn't pump It doesn't spin or pump It pumps, but the water returns It spins, but doesn't pump If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port. Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job. If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump. It doesn't spin or pump If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. It pumps, but the water returns If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck in the drain?) Also, check for these problems: If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess. If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Washer won't drain

ND means No Drain(ing). First check that the drain hose isn't kinked. Then, check to make sure the drain hose isn't pushed so far down into the standpipe that it is sealed closed. If it is too tight in the standpipe, it will create a siphoning effect. It has to sit freely but securely in the pipe.
