Softener not filtering water through the salt and not draining water from tank

What model of water softener do you have ? The one you have on here is for a chemical, not a water softener. Usually it is the brine injector or commonly called the nozzle/venture that gets clogged and will not create a vacuum to draw out the brine water. If you can put a picture of your water softener on here. I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Have frigidaire front loading washing and my fabric softner stopped draining out of the dispencer. What should I do.

Remove the entire dispenser from the machine by pushing down on the catch usually rear left side. Take out the divider from the bleach and fabric softener and clean as much goo as you can get our of there using a toothpick or small screwdriver. Check the tube sections and clean completely. Test by putting it back together and slowly pouring water in the dispenser and it should fill then start draining once the level gets high enough. Stop filling and if level it should empty itself out.
You can help prevent this by diluting the softener in the dispenser without filling to the max.

I get a 3E error code or nf. My fill valves don't seem to be working properly. I get no water in my fabric softener cup. Fill is slow.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error NF means No Fill. The washer has tried to fill but was unsuccessful. NF indicates No Flow. There is something that is interrupting the inbound flow of water to the washer, either hot or cold. Sometimes this happens when water service in the area is interrupted, creating an air pocket that causing the water valve not to sense water.

Try running the diagnostic test by—
  • Press the delicates and heavy soil keys together for 3 seconds.
  • You are in the service mode.
  • Now, press wrinkle free key, cold water should start entering.
  • Then, press the cotton sturdy and hot water should flow.
  • To exit the test mode, either unplug the machine or press the delicate and heavy soil again for 3 seconds.
Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

The Softener is not going through.

you need to take the soapbox out and clean thoroughly. Pull the soapbox out to the point where you get resistance and the you will see a tab you press to release it fully. Do not force the soapbox out. Take it to the sink and clean with hot water. Softener can be like jello when it drys and will block the release.

Maytag a112 manual on how to add bleach AND fabric softener

Hi
Choosing Your Detergent, Bleach, and Fabric Softener..
Learn what the different items you need to wash your laundry.
Liquid Laundry Detergent and Fabric Softeners
When using liquid laundry detergent, you do not want to poor it directly on your laundry. The dyes in the liquid laundry soap could stain your clothing. You will want to start your washing machine and add the liquid laundry soap while the water is filling the washing machine.
You then can add your laundry once you have about and eighth of the washing machine tub filled. This will ensure your laundry doesn't become stained by the detergent. You should only add the amount that is poured into the cup to the fill line. When you add more, you could find yourself wading through mounds of bubbles overflowing from your washing machine.
The same reasoning applies to liquid fabric softeners. However, liquid fabric softeners are added to the washing cycle after the initial washing cycle is finished. You will want to add the fabric softener once the washing machine has filled with water and started to agitate. This keeps the fabric softener from touching the laundry and will work it into your clothing better.
Powdered Laundry Detergent
You will want to add one cup of loose laundry detergent to your washing machine in the same manner you would do the liquid laundry detergent. By doing this, the powdered laundry detergent will dissolve easier.
Bleach
When adding bleach to your laundry, there is a small triangular cup in the corner of your washing machine. By adding one cup of bleach into that dispenser, the bleach will be added to the laundry at a precise time during the wash cycle.
Setting Your Washing Machine
Most washing machines have three or four cycles. For instance, the Maytag Washer I have has four cycles, regular, permanent press, delicate, and soak.
Regular Washing Cycle
The regular cycle is used for the following types of clothes and other apparel:
• Jeans
• Towels
• Blankets
• Sheets
• Quilts
• Bedspreads
The soil types for this cycle are heavy, normal, and light. This means clothes or other articles that are lightly too heavily soiled should be washed in this cycle. This is due to the washing cycles can be set from a minimum of eight to fourteen minutes maximum. You can use all three of the water temperatures in this cycle.
1Permanent Press Washing Cycle
The permanent press washing cycle is used on the clothes that may or may not need to be ironed.
Such as:
• Blouses
• Shirts
• T-shirts
• Under garments. This would be your unmentionables and socks.
• Jackets
• Sheets
• Baby Clothing
The soil types for this wash cycle are normal and light. The washing times for the permanent press cycle are six minutes to ten minutes. You can use all three washing temperature modes for this cycle as well.
Delicate Washing Cycle
The delicate washing cycle is normally used for sweaters, cotton, silks, and other fabrics that need to be washed with care.
The soil types for the delicate cycle are normal and light. The washing times for the delicate cycle are four and six minutes. It is best to wash your delicate clothes in warm or cold water. Always wash clothing that is more than forty percent cotton in cold water to prevent shrinking.
Soak Washing Cycle
The soak cycle would be used for heavily soiled clothing, such as, football and baseball uniforms. This will help rid the uniforms of caked on mud and grass stains.
You can also use this cycle if you wish to only bleach your white's once a week or once a month with bleach.
Washing Your Laundry
Choose the cycle you need for your laundry. Add the laundry detergent, fabric softener, and bleach (remember regular liquid bleach is for white clothes only.) Start the washing machine and let fill to dissolve the dry detergent or to mix in the liquid detergent.
Now add your clothes to the washing machine. Clothes the lid so the washing machine will continue to wash your clothes.
If you are using a Laundromat, put your clothes in the washing area and shut the lid or door. Add your detergent and other cleaning items in the correct compartments. Put in the correct amount of change so the washer will start.

My Bosch Classixx dishwasher is using all the salt in one wash. Why and how do I resolve?

In order to rinse dishes and glasses satisfactorily, the dishwasher requires soft water, i.e. containing little or no lime, otherwise water stains will be left behind on crockery and glasses, etc. If the tap water exceeds a certain level of hardness, it must be softened, i.e. decalcified, so that it can be used in the dishwasher. his is achieved by adding a special salt to the water softener inside the dishwasher. The water softener, that is the required amount of salt, is set up according to how hard the tap water is.

Setting up the water softener

Determine the level of hardness of your tap water. Your local water company or service agent can help you with this. Identify setting from the following water hardness table.

Press and hold the B programme button, and set the main switch to ON, before releasing the programme button again.

The indicator lamp for the B button flashes, as does the figure in the numerical display. The latter represents the value that was preset in the factory.

To change the setting:

Press the B programme button.

Every time the button is pressed, the figure increases by one. After reaching 7 the display starts at 0 again.

Set the main switch OFF. The new setting is stored in the appliance’s memory.

Approx. 4 litres of water are required for regenerating the water softening system. The overall water consumption per load can therefore be increased by between 0 and a maximum of 4 litres according to the water hardness setting.

A debonder will soften cured CA (super glue). If parts are bonded incorrectly or your fingers are stuck together, a few drops will dissolve the CA in about a minute. Apply on bonded skin and roll apart fingers. Once stuck, use acetone to clean off softened CA, then wash off with soap and water.
