I'm afraid this series of printer (810 -830) doesn't handle heavy photo paper well - which is a bit strange for a so-called photo printer. If you hold each sheet and help it to feed it will work. But ...... for goodness sake. Your best bet is to sell it on e-bay and buy something that will handle heavy paper.

Open the printer cover and look closely for tiny paper shreds that might got stuck between the rollers. If you have a canned air, try blowing out the paper path as those tiny piece of paper might be blocking the paper sensor.

Testimonial: "tried blowing and dusting with a brush Now it comes on as normal - no flashing light but will only take paper about 2 cms then flashes paperjam"

SOURCE: Epson Stylus photo 340 r printer paper jam when trying to print

first, make sure you the paper correctly to avoid paper jam.
Single Sheets 1. Open the paper support and raise the extension. 2. Place your paper short edge first against the right edge of the feeder, under the tab, with the printable (whiter or glossier) side up. If you are loading multiple sheets, fan the stack of paper before loading it to prevent paper jams. Note: Don’t load paper above the arrow mark inside the left edge guide. Some special papers can be loaded only one sheet at a time. Slide the left edge guide against the paper. Make sure it is snug, but not so tight that the paper is bent. (For letter- or A4-size paper, you may not need to move the edge guide over.) paper.4.2.1.jpg 4. Open the output tray and pull out the extension. You should also follow these guidelines:Always load the short edge first, even when you’re printing landscape-oriented pictures. • When using special papers, check the paper package for additional instructions. Some papers require using a support sheet included in the package. Note: Always keep unused paper in the original package and store it flat to prevent curling.
if you loaded the paper, it jammed again, remove the paper and tried to print, still the same, its a hardware issue, alraedy, the printers roller is broken

I have Epson stylus TX121 printer but whenever i m using to print out photo, photo comes in orange and red color, pls help me ....

Hi

When switching from printing on standard paper to photo paper, you need the change the paper and picture quality settings in Printing Preferences.

Start > (Control Panel) Printer(s) > right click on the Epson TX121 printer icon > Printing Preferences > Main > tick Photo or Best Photo > under Paper Options/Type select the closest match to the type of Photo Paper you are using (see photo paper packet for guidance) > Apply > OK.

Use the same procedure to switch back to standard paper settings to print on normal paper again.

I hope this helps

Someone please help me!

Hi Emma,
It sounds like your PC is printing to draft everytime, have you checked your printer settings within Control Panel, Printers? If nothing stands out to you then probably best thing to do is a reinstall of the printer driver, 99% of the time this will sort it.

If this has helped you then please rate me!

For more clarity (High DPI) print quality it will take time. For faster prints go to printer settings and select the printer and Right click on it select properties.

There in General TAB you will see at the bottom Printing Preferences Select that one.

There you will get some page tabs select Paper/Quality

Select Advanced and Set Graphic Print Quality lesser. The more you set the print will be faster.

Apply all settings and press ok.

This should solve the problem.

I have an Epson r285 and I am trying to print some final prints on Epson Matte paper, but the results are ridiculously dull. I know that to get the best results with a printer you are meant to use...

In order to get the best results, besides using the best paper, you have to tell the printer to use the higher quality setting.

Assuming you are using Windows, Before sending your work to the printer, go to control panel, click on the printer folder and select the Epson R220. Right click on it and select "properties".

You'll get a windows with several tabs. Select the one that refers to the quality of the output, and be sure is using the "best" settings. (these pages vary from printer to printer, bat I hope tou understand the idea).

Then proceed to print.

Good luck!
