Fairly new vacuume, while cleaning just turned off. I switched plugs, no go. I cleaned everything out, no go. Let it sit for a while and it still won't turn on. Any ideas?
I have a MACH 3 Cyclone that is only a few months old that just suddenly stopped working and went totally dead like there was no power going to it.
I tested the power switch and noticed that there was no power running to the switch.
I then noticed that the switch sat on top of a very long adjustable handle so I figured I would check the pwer connection at the base of the handle.
1) I unscrewed the 2 screws closest to where the power cord goes into the vacuum.
2) Pulled the small blue cover partially out (it wouldn't come out all the way)
3) I found that there is a power cord (looked like a really small extension cord) that runs through the inside of the handle. Adjusting the height of the handle must have made it come uplugged at some point. I plugged this cord back in.
4) I reattached the small blue cover and screwed the 2 screws back in.
This fixed the problem.
I am willing to be that this is a common issue with this vacuum cleaner. Its a 5 minute very easy fix and strongly suggest checking this if your vaccuum suddenly goes completely dead without warning.
