The hard drive needs to be formatted and you need to have the boot order set to the 1 usb 2 hard drive in the bios. Also make sure your installation files on the USB aren't corrupt. The USB needs to be formatted before the installation files are loaded on to it.Make sure your laptop is Windows 10 capable.I think it should be loaded with Windows 7 first then maybe upgraded to Windows 10.Here is a link for tools you may need to get Windows 7 on the laptop after having Linux installed......(https://www.asus.com/Laptops/Eee_PC_1225B/HelpDesk_Download/).....Hope this helps

whenever yor OS is currepted this type of messages raised. its not only due to bad hard drive. I think your hard disk is ok. If you want to make a check you can run scan disk to see if you have any bad-secter on your HDD, if you have then its HDD problem, otherwise its ok.

Thanks
Iqbal

Hi!
You need to copy the SATA drivers from the motherboard CD into a floppy diskette.
When you are booting with the windows xp installation CD you can see a message that says:

Press F6 for raid drivers

Press that key so windows installation CD look for the SATA drivers.

How to uninstall windows 10 and install windows 7

win 10 is an os so you may need to reformat the hard drive to get it out
you will need a disc to reboot the computer and instal win 7
If you are not real sure on how to do it , first save everything you have on an external hard drive/gig stick as reformatting the hard drive deletes everything or have a computer technician do it for you
As a side note, I have been playing with the idea of upgrading to win 10 from win 7 but was hesitant to do so because of all win 10 problems appearing on this page and in a conversation with a computer technician and programmer he explained that all the problems come from the up grade process-- something like a conflict appears between the two operating systems trying to operate on the same base codes
He said that if the win 7 was removed and win 10 installed complete from the disc there are no conflict problems and the operating system works well
I suspect that you are having problems with the win 10 after the upgrade and not from a full installation so it may be worth your while to speak with a tech expert to get good advice before you run the risk of loosing all data

Asus 1225b slow boot win 7

Most likely Yes. Her are some tips: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10things/10-ways-to-speed-up-windows-7/3332 Use freeware CCLEANER: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ This freeware program has many useful tools. The cleaner will remove junk and free up disk space. In the TOOLS section, STARTUP section, disable ALL unnecessary startup programs. Remember, almost every program you install wants to startup at boot, which, in most cases isn't necessary. You can configure what you need at start, use CCLEANER, TOOLS, STARTUP.

"asus" laptop boot from bios

Hi.

If you are trying to install Windows 7 from the USB flash drive then you need to configure the drive so the system will see it as a boot drive, see link below for instructions on how to do this. If you have Windows 7 installed on the flash drive then the boot files may have become corrupt thus preventing you from booting into the operating system. Win vista uninstall

Put your window XP disk into the Disk drive. Start up your computer. When it asks you what Drive you want to install it on select C:\ (where Vista is) Say yes to deleting the current Operating System and follow the instructions from there.

You did say you wanted to Uninstall Vista!

If you mean Dual Boot Vista and XP, then you will need to create a Logical Partition of about 10 Gb to install XP on and when asked where to install select this partition. But note that XP will wipe the Boot sector clean of all other Operating Systems which means that if you want to Dual boot then you will have to reinstall Vista again to get Dual Boot functionality.
