Trying to get Dish remote to control Vizio soundbar SB3851 but no luck and suddenly the up button won't work at all. My dish remote does not have the # or * buttons referred to in other help messages. TV i a Sony Bravia XBR65X850. Soundbar syncs with TV but Sony remote won't control soundbar. Dish syncs with tv but Dish remote controls TV but not soundbar.Frustrated.
Hi Sherry, you can test your remote control to see if all the keys work correctly
Take your cell phone, put in camera mode and point the emitting LED of the remote control towards the camera,
press the keys, one at a time and see if the emitting LED is illuminated, if so, try the volume up key, if the light does not turn on, you could carefully disassemble the remote control and clean the contacts and the keyboard internally rubber,
Do not use alcohol to clean
the rubber keyboard, you can clean it with warm water and detergent then let it dry very well,
the contact plate, you can use a cloth with some liquid to clean the glass,
the idea is to remove the rubber residue on the contacts
then arm again and test, but you have results consult a specialized technical service

Toma tu celular, pon en modo camara y apunta el Led emisor del control remoto hacia la camara,
presiona las teclas, una por vez y fijate si se ilumina el Led emisor, si es asi, prueba la tecla de subir el volumen, si no se prende la luz, podrias desarmar con cuidado el control remoto y limpiar internamente los contacto y el teclado de goma,
No Uses Alcohol para limpiar
el teclado de goma, lo puedes limpiar con agua tibia y detergente luego dejalo secar muy bien,
la placa de los contactos, puedes usar un pa?o con un poco de liquido para limpiar los vidrios,
la idea es sacar el residuo de goma que hay sobre los contactos
luego arma nuevamente y prueba, sino tienes resultados consulta a un servicio tecnico especializado

If neither the DISH Network remote or the TV remote is working for you most likely your remote sensor is going bad. If you'd like to try readdressing the remote follow the steps and procedures below. To program the remote:
