It says push power protector on my home theatre

Hello,
These Usually a protect fault will indicate a bad transistor in the amplification section. I suspect that the control circuit is sensing a fluctuation in the power supply and going in to protect mode. (assuming that the protect circuit itself is working properly) If a voltage is too high the unit will go in to protect mode to prevent damage to the speakers and the rest of the unit. I would take the unit in to a local repair shop and get a estimate of repair charges. Expect a 60 to 80 dollar repair charge depending on how many parts need to be replaced and what the repair labor rate is in your area.

Hope this help in solving the problem....

"Protector" error

I had a similar problem and went to Sony tech support.

Seemed my disc got stuck somehow...

Try reseting the system by holding the STOP and the EJECT and the POWER buttons together...
It should go to demo mode....

Then try PLAY to see if you can get the system to read teh disc...
then EJECT...

It took me several trys of doing this but it did work....on the 3rd try.

Toshiba HDTV + SONY PLAYSTATION 3 + SONY Home Theatre DAVHDX265

I have looked up the infomation on your TV I noticed that your TV has two HDMI input plugs. Since your SONY BRAVIA is hooked up to one port, you need to buy another HDMI cable for your PS3. On your tv remote you should have an option to switch from video 1 to video 2 so then you can switch from the SONY BRAVIA to the PS3 the problem is you will only hear your PS3 Sound from you TV. If you want to hear your PS3 sound from your SONY BRAVIA you need to buy an optical cable (also called TOSLINK) to connect from your PS3 to the SONY BRAVIA.

Hope that helps!
