Waterintake stops after approx. 35 sec.waterlevel is to low, detergent compartement will not open because of low waterlevel and also water will not heat, because heating element is not covered with water. If I put water in by hand to get the waterlevel above heatingelement everything is fine. Dishwasher has been working without any problems till approx. 18 mths ago. Have also adjusted waterintake time as described in manual by taking off dial knob and adjusted with small flat skrewdriver, but nothing has changed. Thank you

what???? i have never heard of any brand of d/w that you can adjust the water fill time with the timer dial. i can only guess you are not in the USA as we dont have anything like what you are describing. the water level does not have any effect on the heating element as it will heat until the tank gets to its desired temp. you may have some other type of unit that we have never seen in the USA><

The machine fills by time only as you have already determined. The intake screen on the water valve is probably plugged up and cleaning it should solve your problem. You will have to turn off the supply to the dishwasher and disconnect the water feed line. Eric

Samsung washer what does in mean water stays in the detergent dispenser after a wash..cant remove the cap on drain tube..

The detergent compartments for bleach, softener, and liquid are usually siphon activated. Remove the dispenser drawer by pulling it out all the way and depressing the release tab. Remove the compartment siphon caps and check that all parts are clean and free of debris, gunk, or grime. If the problem is still present, low rinse water pressure can be a likely cause preventing the siphon from working properly. You can manually activate the siphon by re installing all caps in the drawer, hold the detergent drawer over the kitchen sink, and pour a glass of water into each compartment till it overflows, wait to see if the respectively filled compartment then drains all but approx 1 teaspoon from it's self. If so your dispenser is fine. If the cap on the drain tube is the one at the bottom behind the access door that you are trying to remove, you should only do this if there is a need such as the unit not draining the water completely from inside the basket of cloths, or if you receive a long drain error.

Detergent tank will not draw.

Detergent tanks will only draw at low pressure. Switching to low-pressure is done is several different ways with different makes/models. Some pressure nozzles are push/pull, some are twist and some just have a quick coupling and you have to keep up with a low pressure tip (usually colored black).

If it will not draw at low presser, it is either stopped up with debres, or the check ball inside the injector is stuck. The injector is the little device that is just before the outlet where the pressure hose hooks up. These always have a small metal ball, held in place with a tiny spring. This ball is there to prevent pressurized water from shooting back into the detergent tank. The ball and seat that it presses against can get stuck together with old detergent residues, calcified deposits from the water or even rust.

Use a small crescent wrench to take it apart -- or if you prefer, find the right size box end/open end (metric) wrench. Be very cautious as it comes apart because that little spring can leap out and they are hard to find.
I hope this is helpful to you. If it is, please take a sec to rate me. Thanks!

Hello, I have a problem with our Miele G646SC Plus dishwasher. It starts its cycle OK, draining out any residual water, taking in fresh water and doing the initial rinse. After about 5 minutes it then...

hello andy..... On many dishwashers, a plastic actuator arm mechanically links the timer to the detergent cup. When the timer reaches the proper time in the cycle, the timer activates a lever that opens the detergent cup. If the linkage is broken or defective, the cup stays closed after you've closed it. Check the link and repair or replace it, as necessary.

Intake and drain light is on after using too much detergent. checked for clogged drains...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The first thing that should be checked is if its draining properly as it could be that the drain hose is clogged and needs to be cleaned. If you have not checked already then also check that the drain pump also should not be clogged. Also the stopcock should be opened fully and the water inlet valve should be checked for any clogs. After checking this you can reset the error as follows: turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. then switch the appliance off and then back on again. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Soap not dissolving in dishwasher. stays in compartment

Hi, dishwasher detergent stays in the compartment because Bosch has designed a gap at the top of the compartment that feeds water onto the detergent before the cover opens. This has possibly been done to soften up deteregent tablets and help them dissolve.

The result is a solidified mass of wet detergent that doesn't come out of the compartment when it opens, and slowly dissolves onto the dishes leaving them coated with alkaline detergent at the end of the cycle. The residual lump of detergent is in the compartment or on the bottom of the dishwasher (refer photo).

The solution is to remove the compartment cover and look for the small gap at the top of the compartment as in the photos. Clean the surface and fill the gap with epoxy glue. This will keep the detergent dry until the cover opens, allowing the detergent to fall freely out of the compartment._1583.jpg

He4t - monthly bleach cleaning cycle

Washer Monthly Maintenance Procedure:
This cycle uses higher water volumes in combination with liquid chlorine bleach to thoroughly clean the inside of your washing machine.
  1. remove any clothing or items from washer
  2. CLOSE door (duh)
  3. open dispenser drawer and remove the detergent compartment and set aside. No laundry products will be added at this time. You will be required to add only liquid chlorine bleach at a later step.
  4. For Kenmore Elite HE products press a specific combo of buttons.
  • Select Rinse/Spin program
  • select low spin speed
  • select warm/cold water temp.
  • select 2nd rinse option
  • push the "end of cycle" signal button 4 times within 5 seconds to start the cycle
The machine will fill and run a short sensing cycle. This will take about 3 minutes.

Step 5
  1. The washer will provide 4 short tones. Check the: ESTIMATED TIME REMAINING display for the codes indicated below:
  • if "Ab" (add bleach) displayed in the estimated time remaining window (you'll hear 4 short tones) proceed to Step 6.
  • if "rL" (remove load) displayed in the Estimated Time Remaining window an error tone will sound. The door will unlock.
-open the door and remove the items from the washer.
-continue the cycle by pressing the START button.

NOTE: The water in the unit will dispense for a moment, then the door will unlock, lock again, and then the cycle will continue with another check for items in the washer.

The machine will fill and run a short cycle to determine whether any items have been left in the washer. This will take approx 3 minutes.

the washer will repeat Step 5 until it can determine that there are NO items n the washer and will display "Ab" (add bleach).
6. Add liquid chlorine bleach.
  • If using the maintenance procedure for the first time, open the dispenser drawer and immediately add 1 cup liquid chlorine bleach to the Main Wash detergent compartment. The liquid bleach should immediately flow out of the dispenser.
  • If doing a monthly maintenance procedure, open the dispenser drawer and immediately add 1/3 cup bleach to the Main Wash detergent compartment. The liquid chlorine bleach should immediately flow out of the dispenser.

    NOTES:
  • Water will be flowing into the dispenser drawer when the bleach is added ... this is normal.
  • Do not add any detergent to this cleaning cycle. Use of more than 1 cup of bleachw ill cause product damage over time.
7. Once the cleaning cycle has begun, allow the cycle to complete. An est cycle time will appear on the display.

8. After the cleaning cycle is complete, leave the door open, clightly to allow for better ventilation and drying of washer interior.

9. Replace the detergent compartment divider.
