Kdf-e50a10 hit by lightning now it will not turn on led doesnt blink or anything. I had the cable coaxial hooked to my monster surge protector and the tv was plugged into the protector too. plugged the tv into a different outlet and still will not power on. Monster says they cover up to 350k worth of product is it worth trying to warranty it through monster or will they just give me a run around or should i take it to a repair place and have them look at it? its 150 bench charge not what to do.. thanks for the help.

Follow the power cord and just check the input fuse if you've got a surge protector on it it may have just blown the fuse from a spike. It doesn't hurt to try. This fuse is inside the tv.

Over Voltage Protection 03. This is the fault. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. My KDF-e50a10 sony wega projection screen will not stay on. It has a new lamp, but when on, it will click off intermittently, and will click on and off for a while, then may turn on temporarily later

when it goes out look on the front for blinking red light in some sequence--that is a error code which may point to area where problem is.

My Model is the Sony Wega KDF-E50A10 Standby Light is blinking 6 times. Tried to replace the Lamp, but still blinking. When first plugged in, wil blink 3 times, but then goes back to 6 blinking lights....

I think if you obtain a repair manual you will discover the blinking light is actually a fault code.

Hi,
You need to replace Lamp only as existing lamp is weak in result and causing such symptoms.
Ballast supply is fine and working.

is the led blinking anything? When was the last time you replaced the lamp? A bad lamp can cause this kind of problem.

mine does the same thing....it can keep doing that for hours, and then just clears up...the lamp light never comes on...did anyone answer this [email protected]

I have a SONY/WEGA/KDF-E5010, after the tv has been on for 5 mins or so it shuts itself down and the comes back on. The power light on fornt blinks as it warm up. I have cleaned the lamp area.
