Question about LG Televison & Video
Possibly a bad connection on the antenna jack on tv. Does it wiggle at all? TVs have to be made so cheap these days because us consumers buy the cheapest products. The antenna jack or f connector is sometime only held on by the solder that area he's it to the circuit board. When the tv gets move 4 ft and there is a 3 ft coax cable, the f conn solder will break. Sometimes it is easy to resolder if you are a little handy and are qualified to disassemble the tv. Otherwise if you use sat or cable you can bypass this issue by using the hdmi on the receiver to tv and get your local channels thru sat or cable

You need to have a set top box.
By law, as of March 1, 2007, almost all televisions should include a built-in tuner (called HDTV, digital, or ATSC tuners) that can receive high-definition programs over the air by simply connecting an antenna. Your HDTV doesn't have such a tuner, you'll need to connect an external tuner (or cable or satellite box) to watch high-definition programming. External over-the-air HDTV tuners currently cost at least $150.

I carried my Westinghouse TV to the basement. Unplugged the antenna from the digital converter box and connected it to my digital TV. I then re-scanned for channels and found channel 9. After carrying the Westinghouse TV back upstairs, I connected the original set-up and tuned to channel 9 which was now showing on the screen as no signal. From that point I moved my VHF dipoles until I had located the correct position for reception. A little labor intensive, but I was fortunate to have another antenna that was receiving channel 9.

you cann not hook an antenna and cable to a splitter together and expect it to work
the only way that will work , if your tv had two tunners Try doing a scan with cable
only on the cable setting

SOURCE: my tv wont pick up any channels
have you switch the broadcast to Air from Cable using the remote go to this and also let it scan for channels auto...hopefully this will do the trick

your anntena may be set to cable rather than to AIR. check the setting on the TV to verify it isnt set to cable when you are using an over the air antenna. also it may be the input, if you are using coaxial for the input say #1 and it is acutally on #2 then you may need to change the input. Since I didn't see a brand of TV I cant walk you through it. ALso there is a TV/video button try hitting it one time on the remote. if all fails then unplug the tv for 30 minutes and try setting it up again.

Well im not an expert on this but by wife keeps deleting channels... you can just go to setting and anything the reads channel search or digital search just run it or scan... your tv will scan all channels... make sure that your antenna is connected or digital receiver... when you tv searches it needs something connected to the input of the tv antenna... you can try goggling it too
