Short battery life - Canon PowerShot A430 Digital Camera

Dell is the worse laptop in this world. If anybody wants to buy a laptop, please think thousands time before you pick up NONSENSE DELL.

never leave your laptop on until the battery is out of charge
optimally, you can remove your battery after it's fully charged and keep your charger connected until needed.

you have some problem with batteries:
a) use the same right type from batteries
b) if you use rechargable , see if are FULLY charged, otherwise your device charger is defective, and replace batteries.
c) power supply is defective draining life for batteries go to the repair shop and fix it.
d) remember if you use too much the flash the life is short,+zoom

In most laptops the standard idle life is around 3 - 4 hours. The drain from the internet can cut this down to between 1 - 1 and a half hours. Using games is around the same or less than what the internet takes and if your using an office application it is around 3 - 4 hours.
Using the laptop for power hungry multitasking will reduce battery life dramatically.

Most re-chargeable batteries are 1.2V each, totalling 2.4V. The Z712IS Camera is designed for 3V operation. Therefore using 2 re-chargeable bats is not enough, UNLESS they are 3 or 3.7V.

$orry, theres no fix to this, after a while batterys begin to die and the life becomes shorter. this could be due to leaving it on charge all day and night and not letting it frequently loose and gain charge again. even my laptop battery has began to lose its battery length - but ive had my battery for a long time. purchase a new battery and try to keep from leaving the A/C adapter in over night. you should notice alot longer battery length after that. rate me :)

Get a replacement from Philips if it seems abnormal and you are still under warranty. 8-9 hours is normal battery life for this unit - the product specs are "ideal" - not relaistic. No way to dim this unit.

Try using higher capacity NiMh batteries.

Make sure that you did not bend the pins installing the sd micro memory card. Its very easy to do and it will short to ground decreasing battery life significantly.

Try running the battery down completely (0% so it turns off itself), and charging whilst the phone is completely off (I'd suggest leaving it overnight). Repeat this once or twice, then see if your battery life has improved. Also ensure that you havent left anything on that could be eating your battery up i.e. bluetooth, and contact your supplier if the problem persists, as you should be covered.
