The battery is not a coin cell at all (not a CR3032 like seen on desktops)
it is rechargeable soldered down battery.
ml1220 is my guess.
if you had called them they tell you "only our shops can fix that" and a phone number in the manual if you read it.
yes the battery is sold, but I ask you now, are you removing 40 screws to that
I BET NOT.
am I right?
SOLDERED DOWN, IT IS.
AND IS ML1220 ,
SOME HERE HAVE A PLASTIC FILM COVERING IT (A LEAKAGE DEFLECTOR)

This is the first place I'd look.
THE MAKER DOES NOT COVER THAT BATTER (NON USERS REPLACEBLE) RTC SOLDERED DOWN BATTERY., THE MANUAL only tells you it explodes if wrong one is use, period.

Unfortunate that there is no update for whatever audio problem you are having, and you cant change what you have now because laptop components are permanently installed.
Laptops and netbooks Lenovo Series laptops Lenovo G585 Notebook Lenovo...

The same model Lenovo can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your Lenovo, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true

there are 4 classes of RTC CMOS batteries
1: none, used the huge battery on thin PCs.
yours is not that.
2: CR2032, coin.+socket easy.
3: cr2032, coin plus pigtails.
4: NiMh or rechargeable lithium solder down.
well the most easy is to pretend buy one
from ebay and most sellers show both sides of the board.(search G585 motherboard)
and bingo.
if you have no service manual that is one way.
also learn to watch out for old PCs that
do not use real Coins. but use in the stead
a rechargeable battery that solders down.
do not use the wrong battery or it explodes
they manual says that clear as day same words.
no full model told nor the mother board model exactly but some are solder down here for sure.
here it is, do not solder in the wrong battery it will "catch fire or explode"
the manual told you that if you read it.
the word is fully dismantle PC
some have 34 screens to get there.
my dell is 4 screws bottom off and simple coin. next time buy dell?
the manual posted page 60 shows how to get the board out.
then you unsolder old cell
then solder in new.
end. reverse disassembly and try not to break ribbon jacks as all NOOBS do.
laptops need 10x the skills of other PCs.
they are fragile.
the manual tells you to charge the battery for 12+hours before using it.
it is not a coin cell at all, ML1220 is my best guess, rechargeable it is. on bottom of mobo.
a trick to try, is easy takes only seconds
go to ebay.com
type, Lenovo G585 motherboard
see photos of it sure.
see front and back, bingo if coin is there you see it there.
as easy as that.
oops just looked for you and its on the bottom of the mobo
and is NOT A COIN cell it is a solder down coin , with 2 pins soldered down and NO SOCKET.
so dreaming it does not work here.
only facts matter.
bingo
the manual tells you to charge it for 12hours first did you? if not it will fail, AC connected, turned on PC.
this old most are now dead.
i bet it is a Panasonic ML1220 battery there, I look first then leap 2nd , it is 9 years old, how can it be good?
I am late with facts, had time today to look your PC up, took, me 60 seconds.
Read the manual and show photo of rechargeable battery.
find it,
google all week
it's not in the manual
dismantile the PC
see 3 kinds of RTC bats.
1: a coin cell and socket (nope not here)
2: a pig tailed coin Red/black wires + plug, common only on laptops. (varies by model and sub models of PC)
3: a soldered down cell (bright colors, warped) bingo ML1220 rechargeable. yup.
