SOURCE: need substitute switch part for sears saw
Sorry , but go buy a new saw. Your not going to find an aftermarket
dealer that carries this switch.
Trying to rig some other switch is not worth the trouble over buying a new one. If the switch is not available, then the saw is old.

SOURCE: How can I change the circular saw in my Back &
Unplug it and loosen the bolt in the middle of the blade. It's a standard thread, so turn it lefty-loosey. But you need to hold the blade from turning. That's easy by putting a screwdriver in front of a blade tooth, under the sole plate. Let the sole plate prevent the screwdriver from rising up with the blade as you turn the bolt. If your current blade has small teeth (like a plywood blade) then you can raise the sole plate as for a maximum depth of cut, then push the saw against the front edge of a workbench (or block of wood somehow held still) as if you were going to cut it. Before you remove the bolt, take note of the exact orientation of the washer (or washers)so you can replace them the same way.

I have worked on many Sears saws and usually use Skil saw parts on them. Take a look at the link below and match the parts with Sears Model 135275400.

I would order part number 2610916185 Skil switch as the replacement /substitute for your switch. If you have a local Dewalt service center neer, you can take a look at the part there before you buy. Use the Skil HD5510 for reference. Good luck on your wood working projects.
SOURCE: Can a 7 1/4" circular saw blade be used to replace
Some furniture shops used 7 1/4 circular saw blade for other brands of circular saw. Based on my experienced it's applicable as long their is clearance for the blade not touch the adjustable safety cover of the unit. Thanks for asking FixYa.
