You have to go to the menu and set it to use the EXTERNAL memory card instead of the internal memory. Make sure that the external memory isn't too big for the camera's capability. Some units can't handle more than a 64GB or 128GB memory. Anything bigger and it won't accept that you eve put anything in there.

Probably camera has it's own memory & it is full.
Look under settings for option to switch to SIM card for picture storage.

make sure that the memory card you bought is a secure digital (SD) memory card. the kodak memory you have might not be an SD card.

Enter main menu, scroll down to "Setup Menu" and then navigate to "FORMAT". Simply format your internal or external memory, and thats it.

If you used the internal memory even once, the memory card will not work until you get rid of whatever is in the internal memory. Do this...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.
