How To Clean Silk

Hand Wash the item. Gently move the silk fabric around in the soapy water. Rub stains with your fingers or a sponge to clean them. Pour the water out when finished washing your garment.
Rinse the silk garment in a vinegar solution. White vinegar removes soap, restores shine and softens silk. Fill the basin with cold rinse water. Add 1/4 c. (50 ml) white vinegar. Gently move the garment around in the water to thoroughly rinse it. Empty the basin again.
Rinse the item in cold water. Add cold water to the basin. Rinse the silk item a second time in a basin of fresh, cold water. Turn the garment over and around to ensure it is completely rinsed and free of soap.

Ice-maker water overflowing into the freezer/ice-maker.

Possibly the inlet valve.  If it doesn't shut all the way off it will drip water which will freeze in the chute and cause it to overflow.

Ice maker not working

If the ice maker is not getting water, it is probably the solenoid valves that let the water go through is burn out. Unplug the fridge and at the bottom at the back of the fridge there are valves that are controlled by solenoids. Unplug the connection to each solenoid and measure the resistance. It should read about 200-over 300 ohms. If you get a reading that is way high like mullions of ohms of thousands of ohms or infinity(open circuit) then the solenoid is bad. They usually sell the whole unit. You can't buy just one solenoid. They cost anywhere from 40- over a hundred bucks.

My coffe maker will not pump any water through. It started slow and did the vinegar and water thing .. now nothing!

Feel the base where the pot sits if it is not Very Hot to the touch the heating element is bad, be careful not to burn your hand, the base heater on the machine performs a dual function it keeps the coffee hot and also boils and pumps the water through the machine, if it is hot the element is ok proceed to run a 50 % water 50% vinegar mitxure through 3 times to flush out sediment, make sure you run straight water through the unit afterwards three times to clear out any residual vinegar left in the machine

Kenmore 385 model Automatic Button Hole Apparatus Jams Thread?

Practice and practice some more! Use the same fabric and interfacing as your project and a NEW needle (the correct needle) This is for the Sears Kenmore 385 automatic button hole maker. Make sure you pull the bobbin thread through the Guide Block - it is that simple. Make sure you pull your thread to the back of the machine though the presser foot slot - the correct presser foot. Account for both thread tails before starting to sew. Keep thread tails to the back of the machine 4-5", insert fabric under presser foot keeping thread tails clear. Mark button hole and sew.
