Dynex remote sticks on channels and does not always lower volume

I have the Dynex DC-LCD3-09 I bought it last year. The tv runs great but I have problems with the remote control since I got the tv. I do not have a cable box I have basic cable. When changing stations clicking the remote does not always work, it sticks and sometimes I have to press several times to either change the station. This happens with the volume as well. When commercials come on that are loud raising or lowering the volume becomes a problem I have to click several times or shut the tv off. Even shutting the tv sometimes is a problem. It is not a problem with batteries or the tv. I have 2 remote controls. The second one is the same Dynex remote control that came with the tv. I called Dynex today. The man could hardly speak English, and I had a hard time understanding him. He switched me over to parts department and they wanted to sell me a remote control because my warranty is up. I don't think another remote control like I have is the answer. It seems it is a problem the way the remote is made with the same glitch. Anyone know what to do or have an suggestion.

    DX LCD37-09
Thanks but I had trouble with these remotes since I got them. They were both new, one came with the TV. I do not think I can get them apart to clean they seem pretty sealed accept for where the batteries are. I don't have a cable box, have basic cable, and I hide the stations I cannot receive or don't view like sports. I wondering if the remote might be accounting for them these station with the extra clicks or if there is a problem in the circuit board with communication with the tv.

glppeterson is right. I bought 2 other remotes and the same thing happened both in different places. I have no cable box but I am able to recieve a few stations that are regular cable and HD. The funny thing is if I pick up one remote and it sticks, I use another and it works but sticks on different channels. You are right you get what you pay. The Dynex does have a beautiful picture though and it has many features that I do not have with my new Vizio. I guess I just have to keep clicking away. Thanks your comment was a confirmation after having the same problem with my new remotes as well, I kind of figured it was the TV after all.

I think you'll find that the tv is at fault. I, unfortunately bought one of these **** things as well. If you try to turn the channel, or volume, at the tv itself, you'll find that it won't work either. Seems to happen when switching between HD and regular programming a lot, but can happen at any time. You get what you ( and I ) paid for....

My family just bought the dynex 1080 from best buy saturday and today myfather can't even get the controller to get the volume to higher or lower or can't even get the tv to turn on or off what is the...

TAKE IT BACK!!! If you can. Many problems w/Dynex.Esp. Now they are no longer in business.
You can not get parts for them.Your remote problem may be a stuck button.Try pushing each button.Sometimes the rubber sticks if the remote is new.Battery may be bad or not making good contact.Take the batt.cover off and roll the batts. Also take the batts.out and push the buttons on the remote, then replace the batts.some times that works. But if you can take it back to Best Buy.And get another TV. Stay away from off brands. Also RCA are junk, not the same compant. I have too many in the shop to count even if I count with my toes. Samsung ,also Vizeo great for the price."basicly a lower end of LG"If you can't fine a decent priced TV at Best Buy,Try Wal Mart. But on all these new TV's,you need to buy the warenty. They still have alot of bugs to work out. That is about 98% of my business.Doing the warenty repairs in central FL.
I hope this helps you out. todd

Need code for Dynex/DX-l42-10A for Dish Network

I know you've probably figured this out by now, since you posted last May, but I figured I would post the solution, since I just found it, and someone else may want to know.
I bought one of these sets the day after Christmas 2009, and finally figured out the code that works with the Dish Network 5.4 IR remote.
I did a Code Scan, and found that the code that works is 721. In the Dish Network listing, this is listed as the third code for Sansui.

Hope someone finds this useful, even if it's too late for you.

Cant use fios remote to power/volume

Yesterday I called Dynex at 1-800-305-2204. The rep gave me 0463 which didn't work when I called VERIZON FIOS but the Dynex rep did inform me during the call that if it didnt that Dynex is comparible with Orian, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania and Zenith. So any of these tv codes should work. The code of Orian which is 0490 indeed worked!!!! And when you call Verizon make sure when they help you program your remote that they do the second step if they dont tell you which is add the code 799 which will let you just push STB then Power to cut on/off the tv. My bedroom tv, I always pretty much had to use the tv remote to cut on and off but when the Verizon rep gave me that step for the original tv I was having problems with told me this step, I had her walk me through the other tv remote and add that code and its great. She said that alot of technicians just been taught the other way. Hope this info help you.

Marantz 2220B with Sound Problem at Half volume

The most likely cause of this is some DC current working its way through the system. WIthout taking some measurements, it will be difficult to confirm this though. This should not be an expensive repair. Figure on $20 or so for parts (capacitors mostly).

Fried remote control receiver? (Zenith B32A24Z)

Invest in a long poking stick....... Either the Infrared receiver or controller it blew out. The high amount of static electricity formed and must of jumped off by the infrared receiver causing a momentary short in the circuit board. Safety's shut the tv down before frying, but damage looks to be done. It can be fixed, but only cheap if only the infrared receiver was damaged, anything else and it's going to be pricey.

Code for Direct TV remote control

Program AV1 with 20695, program TV with 10765, then switch to AV1, press select/mute, enter 933, and press select

This will allow volume and mute controls while in DTV mode and allow power on and off while in TV mode. This worked for me on the RC32 remote control.

Best of luck
