Depending on what type of it is a self feeding there is a door on the side that should open up and a place where you put your spool of wire then you just feed the wire through the allotted spit and slowly squeeze the trigger to have it feed through you lead.

Unit starts and puts out electric, but will not weld in any position, where do I start to check

If your Miller Trailblazer 302 AC/DC welder generator is starting and putting out electricity, but will not weld in any position, there are a few things you can check to troubleshoot the issue:
  • Firstly, check the welding cable connections and make sure they are secure and clean. Check the cable itself and make sure there is no damage or corrosion.
  • Secondly, check the welder's ground clamp. Make sure it's clean and tight, and that the ground connection is secure.
  • Thirdly, check the welding gun liner, and make sure it's not blocked or damaged, this can cause the wire to feed improperly.
  • Fourthly, check the wire feeder, make sure it's functioning properly, and that the wire is feeding smoothly.
  • Lastly, check the voltage and amperage of the welder. Make sure it's set to the correct settings for the type of welding you are trying to do.
It's important to check the manual of the welder for troubleshooting steps and also check the warranty of the welder and see if it's still covered by the manufacturer. If you are not able to find the problem or if you are not familiar with welding equipment, it's best to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center, they will be able to diagnose and fix the issue.

Wire feed stopped after tack welding on set-up jig

i had the same problem. its probably a bad solder on the wire feed pot. not hard to fix ,but you need a solering iron .BE CAREFULL 1 unplug welder.
2 remove pot and the nut underneath.
3 remove case from welder and remove controll box.
4 run the soldering iron over the joins , then put it all back together, should work fine.

My welder just stopped welding. It's a Telwin 220 Mig. The fan is still running but there is no noise from the welder and the wire is not feeding. I had only used it for around 30 seconds before it...

your feeder may need adjusting or more commonly the tip has tacked itself on the edn cap
keep the line as straight as you can & keep feeder compartment clean!
keep plyers handy for when wire is stuck in the tip
if you need to replace wire spool or a brakage of the wire make sure the wire is free or BURRS b4 you put it in the tube or you will damage the tube!
