Good luck
I feel your pain ... I enjoy DL vids from online, but ran into the same problem you are having with RealPlayer. The problem with realplayer is that it only works with certain .flv streams.
Their are a few other programs I've found that work a lot better.
the first one is DivX.
visit www.divx.com and download the player, web player and codec. go into the options and set it to autosave and select the folder you want to save your files in ( I select my video) where it will create a DivX folder.
Go HERE for a list of DIvx movies.
When you select a movie to view (if you have setup the options above) it will automatically start to DL the movie to a temp folder. I DL a full length 700MB movie in 30 min. you can only DL one DIVX at a time.
Option 2.
Another program I use is called Media Catcher. to use this effectively Use set your internet browser to open to a blank screen. This keeps your cache clean. start the program and navigate to the page of the movie. When you press play on the movie, Media catcher will automatically start downloading the video. This will not work well on a wi-fi signal since the signals can be lost easily, but if you have a wired, and fast internet connection it's a great program to use.
I hope one or both of these options allow you to grab the vids you want.
Good luck and happy Downloading. ^_^
Follow these directions to reinstall realplayer properly
