Unless the tv came preloaded with amazon app you'll need a firestick. If you see the amazon app on the tv's screen.,then you don't need a stick.

Open Amazon video application (if is not preinstalled download it from application store of your Smart TV)
Register your Smart TV: select Sign in and start watching OR choose Register on Amazon web site to get a character code
You Need to be already subscribed for Amazon Prime before you do anything on your device (do it online not on your tv or device)

You can get the Prime Video app from the Samsung Smart Hub:

1. Press the Smart Hub button on your TV remote.
2. Select Samsung Apps from the menu.
3. Select Prime Video.

Sounds like they are asking for your cable provider. I also have a Samsung 4K smart Tv. They asked for my cable provider and I later had to set up my internet provider so I could access hulu, netflix, and amazon prime.

We are in the same position. Only I have Samsung tv. Try writing in the browser line " primevideo.com". When you get there look for a place to sign in.

You could look at using a casting device with the TV to add extra functionality. The obvious choice would be Google Chromecast. This will give you the apps you have on the pad available on the TV too.
