How to change bag on Hoover legacy model - Hoover Vacuums

There are different models with different ways to install the bag. The most common one is where the bag just pushes over the tube where the dirt comes into the dust compartment. Some have a paper bag inside a cloth bag with a variety of ways to attach the bag. For instructions on your specific model please include your model number.

Hi! To replace the type Q bags simply insert bag and slide behind tabs. Then, slide locking tab to right to seal bag to the unit. I have also included a link to the owner's manual where you can see pictures of how to change the bag if needed.

Sounds to me like there is either a loose wiring in the pedal or mains power cord. Check that the plug is secure. Check both filters though - one behind the bag (usually square and slides out) as well as the main exhaust filter at the back between the power on and cord rewind button. I used to own many Telios models but they are known to have cheap shearing cords which can only be replaced by a Hoover repairer. Sometimes the On pedal can be affected as well particularly if it has been stamped on heavily.
