Fuji FinePix S7000 Digital... Problem: Zoom Error

Camera is displaying a "Zoom Error" warning. What is it and how can i fix it?

    Focus Error at switch - no operation in camera mode
    Lens stays out
    Reformatted cards, new cards, new batteries, discharge batteries and recycle

    Zoom stay out and screen display zoom error.

you have damaged the zoom cog loader on the camera there is sadley no easy fix to this it will need to be replaced by a service tech

Turn on camera..view finder and/or display screen
The s7000 has three different display modes: Screen, viewfinder, and off. Screen is for looking at the big screen, viewfinder is for looking through the digital viewfinder, and off should turn off all the displays. Try pressing the DISP button once. That should reactivate the screen and make it possible to use the camera again.

Dropped my Fuji S7000. Am I doomed?
The lens is probably jammed internally. Get an estimate from your local quality camera shop. Sometimes the problem is easy to repair and sometime you'll need a new lens assembly (may cost more than the camera.)

Zoom on fuji f650 stuck
Hi Sandra, Try power reset for your camera. Turn the camera on, and without turning the camera off, open the battery door and take the batteries out. Leave it for a minute or two. This helps camera get reset and helps correct the basic functionality and also zoom error. Hope it helps u otherwise u will have to take it to authorised repair center. Good Luck.

Lens not retracting
if the "!ZOOM ERROR" message is displayed on the digital camera, switch the camera off and on again 2 or 3 times.
If this does not clear the error, take the camera to your nearest FUJIFILM Service Station for testing and repairs.

Fuji Finepix S7000 zoom error
If it is 'relatively' new then the best place is the place you bought from- under UK legislation they are responsible to repair or replace. If you are not in the UK then look up the Fuji website for your country- technical help. there is possibility they will direct you to a suitable place.
