Unfortunately there does not seem to be an LCD brightness adjust on that old really nice car stereo. So what it is is that the LCD screen uses (Electro Luminescence) technology which well fails after so long. (In fact your stereo is not engineered to last that long by any means. Check the link/thread I sent there may be a replacement part available but I highly doubt that is worth the cost/risk.

What sort of language is that reply? I had a problem in ",y" as well, but nobody understood what I was talking about. So I "electro lumiences" and then slipped a stabilizer arm on the stater. But the gotz is where contact yo pioneer etc, etc.

If you still have it and are tired of trying to make it work I'd be happy to buy if off you. I happen to have the same unit in my car with the wiring harness. It broke and now I am looking for the same one so I don't have to rewire everything.
