Make sure the drain hose is not extended too long.

i am a recently retired engineer of 20 years, but this sounds like (based on the info given) a heater element fault, after the machine fills up and agitates a few times the heater should start, check the heater for open circuit, replace if needed, of course it just could be a wire off? if i have helped rate me please

I had this same message last week. It is to do with the water intake (i.e. the water coming in to the back of the machine). If you have checked that the hose isn't trapped or kinked, unscrewed it and checked the filters at each end for blockages (rinse out if necessary), and you still get the F17 message, it may be because your water pressure is too low, in which case you need to contact your landlord (if you rent) or thames water if the problem is external (especially if there are any works going on near your house). Ok so you will all love this answer. Not only do I own this set but I also sell them at sears in des moines, ia. Ok so there was a recall on the controll boards it's fine don't be scared all you have to do is call 1800-659-7026 give them your info and model and ser.# they will then send someone out to replace the control board it takes about ten min for all of it and it is all free no matter when you bought it. But in mean time quick fix for all of you is to unplug the washer then hit power then stop over and over tell there is no power left in it then plug it back in and it will work fine for awhile you may have to repeat if it does it again. But after they come out it will work fine. yes this has happened to me it sucks it took two years to find out what was wrong they didn't even tell us I had to ask alot of parts guys and look it all up. So for everyone that this is happening to I'm sorry I just hope this gets out to all of you because I work very hard to know my product and take care of my customers ask any of them and it's not easy working STRAIGHT commission and people don't want to come back for these kind of things. But remember the reason why you came there in the first place we will give you the lowest prices in town and we know what we are talking about, well most do if not they ask me:) so I realy hope this helps someone out there.

It is the child lock - Turn machine on & then press & hold the start button for 5 seconds. Code will flash then go off. Details on page 5 of instruction manaul
If the
water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the
inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the
inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL
SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level
to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is
most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must
be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for
rinse and wash.
