My Alcatel A30 tablet refuses to start when I push the ON button. What can I do?

A Hard Reset will remove all data and reload the Operating System clean and with no password. The Reset is done with the tablet turned off, so you don't need a password to do it.

Turn off the device. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys. When the Alcatel logo displays, release both keys. Use the Volume Up/Down keys to navigate to wipe data/factory reset.

Master reset with hardware keys

• Back up data on the internal memory.
• Turn off the device.
• Press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys.
• When the Alcatel logo displays, release both keys.
• Use the Volume Up/Down keys to navigate to wipe data/factory reset.
• Press the Power key to select.

Turn on / off

1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
2. Tap Settings > Security > Screen lock.
3. Enter desired password/PIN.
4. Tap Continue.
5. Re-enter password/PIN.
6. Tap Confirm.
7. Tap desired notification setting:
   • Show all notification content
   • Hide sensitive notification content
   • Don't show notification content
8. Tap Done.

I am not an expert on these things but I suggest you check your manual. I think you could find details of the reset procedure that might involve pushing a wire paper clip or similar through a tiny hole in the casing. I apologise in advance if I am wrong.
