SOURCE: forget BIOS Password (Laptop - IBM Thinkpad Lenovo R60)

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"
It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.

SOURCE: i need to reset bios administrator password of my hp probook 5310m

If you know the password you can enter the BIOS settings to change the password.. but i stress that you WILL need the current password to do so.

If you do NOT know the current password, you will have to remove the Lithium ION 1.5v battery from the computer, which will require a miniature screw-driver. If you remove the battery for about 30 seconds, the BIOS settings will be cleared to default.

In order to do this I suggest you look up a guide on the manufacturer's website and find out where exactly the battery is housed. It is generally very easy to access the battery, so don't be too scared off by all of the steps provided.

If you are a newer of computer, you can use the bios/cmos password recovery tool from http://www.biospasswordrecovery.com

Wish you luck!

Please help me : :' my pc is lenovo g500 and i forgot password bios who help me please

Hi,

I do google your problem and look to the lenovo G500 manual.
here's the manual says.

sources: http://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/user_guides/g410_g510_ug_en.pdf

BIOS password problems I forgot my password. • If you forget your user password, you must ask the system administrator to reset your user password. • If you forget your HDD password, a Lenovo authorized servicer cannot reset your password or recover data from the hard disk. You must take your computer to a Lenovo authorized servicer or a marketing representative to have the hard disk drive replaced. Proof of purchase is required, and a fee will be charged for parts and service. • If you forget your administrator password, a Lenovo authorized servicer cannot reset your password. You must take your computer to a Lenovo authorized servicer or a marketing representative to have the system board replaced. Proof of purchase is required, and a fee will be charged for parts and service.

But in my own way of troubleshooting.
1. open your Lenovo G500
2. Check your motherboard and look for bios/cmos battery.
3. Remove the battery
4. Get flat screw driver then put it between two pins where the cmos battery attached.
5. Hold it for 10 to 15 sec.
6. Put the cmos battery back and the motherboard
7. Power it up and holla the bios setting has been reset to default.

Forgot password on my lenovo flex. how do I reset?

You may be able to reset or cancel the password by going into the BIOS setup screen and disabling passwords there. Usually, you get into the BIOS by pressing the F2 key repeatedly a second or two after you turn the power on. Failing that, the laptop has a disc-shaped battery about the size of a quarter somewhere under the bottom panel. It's called a CMOS battery. Removing that battery for about twenty seconds then reinserting it usually returns all settings to "factory default" which means no password! Good luck.

I forgot my bios supervisor password in my lenovo g560. Help me. Email id- [email protected]

    Hi,
Are you the one who set up the BIOS password? If not, unfortunately, there's no way for us to retrieved the password. The only way you can reset the password to default settings is to reseat the CMOS battery on the motherboard, its a circular thing that looks like a battery of a watch, sometimes a pin hold it, just detached it then wait for at least 30 minutes then connect it back again,
Note: Before you reseat the CMOS battery, make sure that everything is unplugged on the computer, like AC adapter, battery and all external devices...

Hope this will help...Your response is very much appreciated...
