I read the manual which said to depress the alarm button. That wasn't the right button but I found that depressing the button next to it, the DST button, that that fixed the problem.

to Change the Time Zone
Press and hold the “-“ button for 3 seconds the letter P
will appear where the seconds are than press and release the “-“ button until
the correct letter for your time zone appears.
The four time zones are P is Pacific, M is Mountain, C is Central and E
is Eastern Time zone. Press the SET
button to confirm or leave the setting to confirm and exit automatically.

If it is a radio controlled clock and it is consistently out, then the hands need re-setting. I have hand a similar experience with my watch, so I fully understand the problem.
You can adjust the hand settings by pressing the right buttons!
If you have the instructions, then refer to the to adjust the hands. If you do not have the instruction, then go to the makers web site and look for manuals download.

Make sure that the clock is set for the correct time zone and that the DST (Daylight Saving Time) function is ON. Also, although not mentioned in the manuals, these clocks will typically jump and hour ahead or behind when the batteries get weak. Replace your batteries if they are more than a year old.
