The air conditioners on RVs are 110 volt AC. They do not run on 12 volts and should not be run on inverters. You would need at least a 2000 watt generator, preferably 3000.
If you have the power, it requires cutting a 14 inch square hole in the roof. The air conditioner is clamped down by 4 bolts from the inside, part of the internal control package. You would need what is called a "non-ducted" inside unit which would have the thermostat and control knobs.

The number of zones usable at one time depends on the initial fan cfm , which may be adjustable if it is a multiple speed blower motor If so put motor on highest speed and recheck ..
If it is variable speed, it is controlled by electronics in motor and circuit board and motor . Also you must check coils and blower wheels for dirt . Hint if blower wheel is dusty evaporator coil must be exposed and cleaned. Duct work also needs to be balanced for correct airflow

Zoned forced air systems that use multiple thermostats that can start a single heating and cooling unit from each stat and condition just that space that called it, are conditioned by the auto damper you are referring to. These dampers are normally spring closed and driven open using a small 24 volt motor (Called an Actuator or Operator) connected to the stat that operates the damper motor with a relay. Disconnect the damper crank arm and linkage between the damper and its motor and see if the damper rotates closed. See if the damper will move freely. Power and remove power from the motor to see if it works. Doing these things will probably find the problem. Good Luck. Roger

JUST A REFERENCE; Unit designed to heat 900 sqft. 300 sqft per thermostat. When heat comes on and only 1 zone is calling the unit doesn't heat 1/3. It heats the 900sqft it's designed to. Therefore that "extra heat" HAS TO go somewhere. If it doesnt go to the "non calling" zones the unit would shut down on safety because it would get too hot. So, open a window or you need a bypass damper with bypass duct installed that when the heat comes on for only one zone that "bypass" opens and sends the "extra heat" back into the return rather than to the "non calling" zones. To answer your question, nothing is wrong with your unit or tstats, it's the duct work. Maybe $600 to $800

I had the same problem, with a brand new unit. I wrote to the distributor, who said that I needed a new control board. They asked me a couple of questions about the unit (to figure out which control board I needed), and sent me a control board at no charge. (Your mileage may vary.) Installation took about 40 minutes with my 6yo helping me (20 minutes without the assistance), and fixed the problem.
FYI, the control board comes with the thermostat permanently attached -- I suspect that it was just the thermostat that needed replacing, but the entire control board goes with it as a single unit.
Final note: The instructions that we were provided for replacing the control board were incomplete in a couple of areas. Again, YMMV. You need to 'figure out' the information that isn't in the instructions in a couple of spots. Not rocket science, but not obvious if you're expecting the instructions to be well written and serve as an effective guide in completing the replacement.

normally when the zone board is bad you only have to replace the zone board, thermostats should still be o.k.

Did you purchase a new Ducted Ceiling Unit with the Upper Unit air conditioner? If you are replacing an older mach 3, the ducted ceiling packs are not compatible and you will need to purchase the ceiling pack as well. The ducted ceiling pack part number for the 8333 series Mach III AC is below.

3. Wall Thermostat (if needed) - 7330G3351
